As goofy as this story was, that was actually legit cool hahah

I'm going to guess that he was born under a different name...

Yeah I cringed hard when he started talking about the sword, and even harder when he talked about his 5 stage plan. It's like watching a live action Bleach.

But good on him for stepping in...maybe...I mean it sounds like he was about to disembowel someone for a fist fight haha

Nah this guy looks legit as fuck like that ultimate arrow dude.

Thus reminds me of the time I went on a police ride along and there was a naked man with a katana.

Ahahahahaha This fucking guy.... jesus.

that twirl to sheathe was legit though. Not even gonna hate on that. Everything else was just... yeah... *sigh*

Good on him for stopping the fight. He had more balls than anyone else on that train.

He had a katana on a train. Its like having a shotgun with unlimited bullets on a train against unarmed people. Guy could have easily fucked up everyone on the train if he wanted. I wouldn't call that having balls.

Pretty much. It's easy to be brave when you start with the mindset of "I'm okay killing some people here today"

Practicing swordplay in the hopes of being a vigilante sounds exactly why most people do it

anyway I'm not sure how it makes him mentally ill when there's a whole bunch more people who put a whole lot of practice into using guns

If he were a stable person, he would have an appreciation for the history of the weapon he had been learning to use. He would have the sense to leave it at home and buy himself a firearm for personal defense.

If he ever stopped an assault by opening someone's chest with that thing, he'd have his own chest ventilated with police gunfire.

I would hope that there's not a a sword instructor who would instruct their students to board a train with a large blade. Even Hattori Hanso kept his damn swords locked away.

Well, if you're going to have a person slightly off in the head, running around with a katana, just be glad he has a hero complex.

See, anime is good for you after all.

Also, his sword's handle wrap is worn as hell, doesn't look like it provides a reliable grip.

I came to this thread expecting some cringewortthy stuff OP provides.

I leave this thread reading cringeworthy posts (OP included) and remembering a cool guy who probably lives a more fulfilling life than most who posted in this thread.

Personally I prefer to use my bare hands in a fight but swords are solid in my opinion.
More power to him that he is not only skilled in his art, but also that he is confident and clear about himself.

Will you feel the same way the first time he gets shoved and decapitates someone?

Because there is absolutely nothing in that video that indicates he knows how to show restraint when threatened.

Confident and clear about himself wanting to fucking murder people on a train

That doesn't make any sense. In the video he knocks away the hand trying to take the sword and keeps his composure. If he didn't have restraint he would have started swinging.

Let's try this and pretend he had a gun.

I saw a father slap his son across the face today. He was violently shaking the child, so I pulled a gun on him.

Had the raised his hand again, I would have shot him ten times in the head. Anyone who tried to intervene would have died too. I don't care. My parents couldn't handle me. I'm so good at shooting people in the head with guns.

Sounds awesome, right?

I'm talking about his personal take on the whole situation. Anyone who talks about the use of weapons like swords would be responsible in saying that they're very dangerous and should only be wielded by those who are trained.

He wanted to kill two people who weren't threatening anyone's life. It was a fight.

His lack of restraint comes from his thoughts. He would find himself in prison if he had done what he wanted to do.
