Im excited...but why the hell couldn't they do an original ff...or a remake of xenogears..Ive enjoyed most ffs but never really wanted a sequel...ffvii never really needed any prequels/sequels and I never found zack a character of note at all...they should have made sephiroth the main character....Hmm, this going to feel strange without cloud...
Hmmm, and Im not a fan of prequels anyway...but I'm still looking forward to it...just cant imagine ffvii without cloud...zack is hardly a replacement

SE releasing media of this game, incredible! Looks good as expected, but I'm catious of this new FFVII projects...not another dirge hopefully.
btw, I can't really see SE not doing a FFVII remake to finish the compilation ...

Why are you guys getting excited exactly? PSP does good graphics, we know this. Square is good a graphics, also known. Now what do we know about this games staff... reputation that wouldnt necessarily make this a must have; thats a rhetorical question.

This looks incredible. I wish it was a console release, though. Releasing this on the PSP seems a bit of a waste.
Well, Square has surprised me yet again. I honestly didn't know what to expect from Crisis Core aside from the fact that it's a prequel to Final Fantasy VII but color me impressed. The lipsync rules and the cutscene animation/motion capture for the real time movies finally addresses an issue I had in Kingdom Hearts II which was wooden character movements in certain cutscenes. The Full Motion Video is looking mighty sweet as well. I am little confused about the battle system as it looks like Square took Final Fantasy VII's battle system and fused it with Kingdom Hearts battle system while adding a roulette wheel. Now if only Square would fullfill our dreams of the PS3 remake of Final Fantasy VII.

Just wondering, how did the slots work in Paper Mario 2? Because it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the CC slots in action.

Hmm. Somewhat mixed comments, I guess:
1. I'm very glad to see that the game is really real. Even though our esteemed corps of gaming journalists said they saw a video, you never know...
2. In terms of the graphics, the game looks phenomenal, really. It's quite incredible what Square Enix is pulling off. Excellent animation, and as others have noted, the lip syncing is really impressive.
3. Can't say I much cared for the art style, though (they've really immersed it in all its potential Gacktitude), and the story cutscenes seemed boring as ****. And given the depths to which the FF7 story has dropped between Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, it's hard to have any hope here.
4. Can't really tell enough about the gameplay from what's shown. Again, it's the rest of the FF7 Compilation that's giving me pause here.
But overall, it's very visually impressive, and it's nice to see Square Enix back on track with its PSP support. Let's hope the game turns out well.

I dunno. Dirge sucked and was unplayable because it was a Japanese company trying to do a FPS (lol). While I doubt this will be KH quality, I don't see why it wouldn't be a decent a-rpg.

Wow, that was awesome! The gameplay footage was great as well, looks like we'll be getting an action-RPG out of this. Can't wait!

oh mother of anubis...I could care less if someone critiques a game but at least make it constructive...anyway, less of the chearleader please...as regards to mistwalker, I think there stuff looks pretty good...but nothing more as of yet...and certainly hasnt got close to the interest of ff to me yet
anyway amirox, I agree with you...the spin offs looked trash, never touched any of them...but this looks quite nice..I never got into kingdom hearts, but I usual have interest in ff until proven crap
