Crisis Core FF7 TGS trailer

Keep that crap out. Im tired of people saying PSP has nothing but port games yet when it gets a good game they all beg for a ps2 port. Let the psp keep this one,if this game is successful more good game will come to the PSP.
Tell me where I made such a comment. None of the PSP games I have are on PS2 nor do i wish for them to be. Those games also aren't as long as CC will likely end up being. This looks like you could easily lose track of time playin it which could lead to fatigue. I'll be buying and playing this no matter what, but it wouldn't hurt to be able to take it all in (small details and all) on a larger dispaly. Untill there is a worthwhile output solution for the system that just isn't possible. Trust me, I want as many good games on as many platforms as possible.

Does anyone else get SERIOUS Silent Hill music vibe? Yamaoka total and I love it.
Totally thought the same thing as I was watching the trailer. Wonder who is doing the composition?

Takeharu Ishimoto

You know, the guy who made the music from KH2 sound like it came from a SNES game.

Watching the vid just makes my primal FFVII fanboyism that i've kept under wraps for years want to explode in a wonderful orgasm of awesome.

SE better be working on the FFVII Remake for either the 360 or PS3, I don't give a **** which system it comes out on, just that it comes about. Also, after a FFVII Remake, thats all I'll need as far as a FFVII remake. Forever.

i found it impossible not to burst into a huge smile a mere 10 seconds into the trailer. I want! This game DESERVES to be a turn based RPG but it just will not be as good as FFVII so instead they make the spin offs different genres which kinda blows, but this has HUGE potential. If MGS:PO, GTA:LCS and FF:CC cant sell PSPs then Sony really should give up with the PSP because it will all be wasted effort.

Well i'm just going by the track record, it could still blow me away though. I mean i enjoyed Kingdom Hearts II as a guilty pleasure so i can't say it's impossible...

FF7: Advent Children - sucked
FF7: Dirge of Cerberus - sucked
FF7: Before Crisis - :o
FF7: sucked (lol j/k - it's fun, but dated obviously)
Nomura: sucks
Gackt: sucks

FF7: Crisis Core (???)

It's as if you can read straight in my heart!

Square-Enix though, is just forever toying with our hearts.

Im a little bored of all the spin-offs but I do like the world that ff7 made, the whole ff7 story etc.

It looks realy good, im a sucker for well done animation in cut scenes.

It was an anime that was released about the same time Advent Children was :)

No that was Last Order, 25-minute OVA about the events preceding FFVII. Before Crisis is a mobile-game following the Turks before FFVII. They added alot of new members of the Turks you played as, but nothing behind them. It has a few characters from DoC too.

that's FFVII Last Order. Before Crisis is a mobile game, a rpg. It takes place some years before FFVII and you play as the Turks.

Oeh... my bad. Never heard of that mobile game though

I'm not going to be able to continue not owning a PSP between Crisis Core and Portable Ops. I just wish they'd come out with a small foldable keyboard finally so I could justify the cost for another use too. I just never play portable games as it is.

Finally was able to watch the trailer. I'm still anticipating this last(?) Square-Enix title for PSP. Here are some comparison shots from Advent Children to which Crisis Core will expand upon.

Does anyone have the original FF7 shots from the same cutscenes/screens to add? Well at least I think the first screen comparison didn't happen in the original FF7.

Why does the PSP keeping having games it doesnt deserve?

I sold my white PSP to fellow GAF member now I want MGS & this. :(

wow beautiful. Time to whip out the PSP

Sales of this game will determine if FF7 remake is done. Everyone buy it when it gets released!

Oh so that solider that Zack touches is Cloud.

That was like the whole big twist to the game, everything "Cloud" did in the flash backs was Zack.
Ok? I played the game. I already know the plot. I just noticed that Cloud is actually in the trailer.

The past with tifa totally confused me. I still don`t understand it. She first says he couldn`t be the Cloud she knew, but then..he was? What?

The truth is, even the story writers didn't know.

It's actually really straightforward!

Presented linearly in time:

- Cloud and Tifa grow up in Niblheim; at first they aren't friends but after she almost dies they get close.
- He leaves to become a SOLIDER, but scrubs out and winds up as one of those anonymous uniform dudes.
- He, with actual SOLDIERs Sephiroth and Zach, comes back to Niblheim.
- Sephiroth finds out about his secret origins, goes crazy, slaughters the town.
- Tifa goes after him, gets sworded, Cloud flips the **** out and throws him into the reactor.
- Cloud and Zach are both captured and subjected to Mako treatments, which **** up their minds.
- They both escape, but Zach is gunned down outside Midgar.
- Cloud, in a daze, takes Zach's sword and wanders into Midgar; thanks to his injuries, his belief that he's lost his hometown and family, and his Mako-addled nature he transposes many of Zach's memories onto himself.
- Tifa finds Cloud, who she didn't ever think she'd see again, and at first is excited, but then she's confused because his description of the events at Niblheim fails utterly to line up with hers -- but she wants to know the truth, so she doesn't say so.
- Cloud knows something is wrong with his memories, so when Sephiroth tells him he's just a clone who adopted the identity of the real, now-dead Cloud based on Tifa's memories he initially believes him.
- Later, Tifa goes into Cloud's mind, they figure out together what really happened in Niblheim, and by Cloud sharing a memory that Tifa never told anyone about they both prove that he's been the real Cloud all along.
- Now Cloud's memories are fixed and he can kick ass.

It did take three playthroughs to piece this together well enough to explain it, but there you go.

After watching the trailer again...damn Im really hyped for this...it just looks awesome for a handheld game...I really hope teh gameplay and story hold up

peace

The drama...

Anyway, thx for summary.

The video was pretty useless as always with Squeenix, but at least got me hyped up when the gameplay kicked in! Great framerate and visuals. I just hope the core-gameplay will be deep and customizable.

At this point i feared pretty much for a second Dirge of Cerberos, but the video raised my hopes up a bit. Althought the charaters are way too sugary looking...

Dont **** me now Square. PSP needs a decent role playing game ASAP.

I'd assume Sony is putting a a decent amount of money on this. Looks quite high budget for a PSP game from SE.

I think this will be a great game. How great remains to be seen... hopefully it will pull FF3 DS numbers but I dunno.
