It really is amazing how far handheld gaming has come since the Vita/3DS. We are now basically getting " full console parity" in the palm of our hands when that was practically an impossibility...

*Flashbacks of Borderlands 2 on Vita.. 😬
I was like "was it that bad ?" and then I went to check

It gets at PS5 level when you go close by
In the PS4 era, game graphics became so realistic that some games almost looked like photographs (The Order, Driveclub, Death Stranding, Detroit Become Human). Since then, we have only seen incremental improvements, such as real-time GI instead of pre-baked GI, or Nanite details. The PS4's graphics aren't that far from the PS5's if you turn off Nanite and Real-Time GI.

Why are Switch 2 owners so obsessed with graphics and performance all of a sudden? I thought it was all about having fun and playing with your portable. Now there seems to be a new DF thread everyday.
New console, we're excited about its capabilities and trying to measure them, it's not a "Switch 2 owners" thing, but a nerd thing

I just wonder why 90% of the time they ll show docked footage instead of handheld, i think the majority of ppl the bought Switch is to play on the go :pie_thinking:
Last time Nintendo put out numbers it was around a 50/50 split (handheld vs. docked play)...give or take...but we've seen handheld gameplay too and it looked....good. I don't hear anyone praising docked, yet trashing handheld, at least not based on what we've seen (leaked).

Why Did Ubisoft took down Outlaws handheld footage ? Just find this odd, game looks amazing on this 9W piece of hardware.
The real question would be whydid Ubisoft hide any form of footage of the game up until several hours before launch if it looks okay at the end ?

On PC there were tons of stuttering issues.

The PS5 version also had problems from what I remember. A lot of people were waiting for the superior Pro version but it ended up being worse. Bloober promised a patch and has yet to deliver.
Pooper Team is more appropriate for them

Those sunny outdoor scenes max out at 20 fps, with most of the time being 16 or 18 fps. And sometimes lower. Thats got to be among the worst frame rates ever.

But in darker/dungeon kinds of scenes it can get to 30 fps (more like 24-30).

For a tablet (less than $500) that I can fit in my pocket, thats not half bad.

Now Imagine if they didn't have to rush development to make "launch window" for Switch 2. Either way, kudos to Blooper Team (for all versions)
okay... we have a bigfoot over here..

Pretty crazy how it's even comparable to PS5 at all. Nintendo made the right call going with Nvidia again.

How come nobody, not a single Youtuber or Gaffer, has noticed that Cronos has no ps5 pro update?

Its weird not to see anyone notice this. A Pro patch could've meant the difference between playing a scaled back Performance mode at 60 fps or a Quality mode (with lower base resolution) at 60 fps.

A game like this will absolutely lose somw atmosphere with lower quality volumetrics and shadow quality ....

PS- also noticed Borderlands4 and Dying Light The Beast have no Pro enhanced label ....

The important thing is really to enjoy the game as it is...

I've played titles at 15 or 10 fps and it didn't affect me...

So even if it has 20 fps... If it's a good game, I'll try it and that's it.
