Be careful of jumping into a currency that seems less affected; there will likely be a rush by people who don't want to leave cryptoes outright especially if one or a few start rising. The rise would be fueling itself as people see them rise quickly and all try to get in early, but it will only make said currencies easy targets by governments.
Remember, no one will come to the cryptocurrency's defense. If a country blocked the exchange of another's currencies such countries would usually be punished by the markets, but with crypto currency it will be the opposite; if a government stops the trades others will start to do the same, not attack them.
Down the line some sort of global framework might emerge to regulate them, which might allow much wider adoption, but that wouldn't be any time soon.
