In light of the news that just dropped that all Chinese exchanges have until the eod today to announce they are halting trading, I sold everything I was still holding. Do what you will with that info. I think we will see 150 eth before the end of this. Might buy back in a few days.

I lost 5k$ profit in 2 weeks and still not giving a fuck. Ofcourse I'm still holding. These are enormous opportunities to make either really stupid or really smart decisions.
The only sensible thing to do now is to buy, buy, buy and oh ... buy.
Just don't spend all your money at once, you might miss the sweet spot.

Does the market always drop on the weekends? If so, why don't we all buy on Saturday mornings, sell by Wednesday/Thursday, rinse and repeat to increase our stacks? It seems like this is the case every weekend since I started investing in mid August.

I'm mainly in ARK to be fair, which is why it was so high yesterday but so low today. I believe in ARK long terms so it's fine
Why would they do that? It would only compromise the integrity of the team working on the project if they would delay milestones because of the market situation. They should just deliver what they promised, the market is out of their hands anyway.
On another note, I'm happy it finally happened. Was waiting for a good opportunity to stock up on some other currencies, got my list of things I want ready, now just waiting for the right price.

Well, this is it for me. I Just consolidated my positions on ARK, IOC and WTC. Every time I check the markets I always think "damn, I should've waited a little more to buy" but hindsight's always 20/20. I have a solid portfolio and I'll just forget about trading until EOY.
If/when the market recovers (I'm sure it will, just don't know if it'll be this year or 2018) I'm going to be very happy I bought this dip/crash. Good luck to you all.

Be careful of jumping into a currency that seems less affected; there will likely be a rush by people who don't want to leave cryptoes outright especially if one or a few start rising. The rise would be fueling itself as people see them rise quickly and all try to get in early, but it will only make said currencies easy targets by governments.
Remember, no one will come to the cryptocurrency's defense. If a country blocked the exchange of another's currencies such countries would usually be punished by the markets, but with crypto currency it will be the opposite; if a government stops the trades others will start to do the same, not attack them.
Down the line some sort of global framework might emerge to regulate them, which might allow much wider adoption, but that wouldn't be any time soon.

rise is just temp bullshit for daytraders to make dollars, it's gone down v consistently imo maybe bounce around 3k for a while tho up and down but still down further

I think that we will be going back down here soon enough, this is going to be rocky till December considering we have the Metropolis update, second BTC fork, and all this China bullshit.
Sold my PAY (which was bleeding before all this nonsense) and used the last of my fiat this morning to load up on OMG and ARK.

China is a communist country that has also banned Twitter, Google, most foreign films, lots of books...the world does not look to them when setting policy.
OKCoin and Huobi appear to have announced that they are only stopping CNY -> Crypto trading on October 31st, which would seem to imply crypto trading will otherwise continue. Google translate also says this "A decision is not the end, but a new start, the industry is more healthy and more compliant development of the beginning, OKCoin currency line will continue under the premise of compliance, for the customer service."
