Let's hope that BAT can now finally rise up a bit.

I've been waiting for a lifetime for BAT to do something. It's in my "set it and forget it" pile. I'll check back in in a few months on BAT.
Don't know man. I think Mercury came at the worst possible time now, thanks to all those delays. I hope the LISK Team will keep from rebranding until a better and more stable time. Also, it seems that monacoin is available on bitflyer, the biggest japanese exchange, since yesterday. If this also has much impact, i hope that the LISK Team made some nice deals with exchanges in the east. Rebranding + new exchanges after dust settled would be a killer

$5,400 and rising! Shit is bananas!
LTC is also rising nicely. I'd love for it to get near the previous ATH of just under $100.
Looks great. Ark will be awesome as more blockchains mature.
5000 $ Bitcoin news is hitting mainstream outlets again. Probably means new fiat for the market.

Hey guys looking to get into investing with Cryptocurrency but only have about $500-600 to start out with. Starting out, is that a good number or would I need more? Also Ive heard having 6-8 currencies is a good way to diversify ones portfolio. Any recommendations as far as how many currencies I should buy in the top 100 with managing that diversity? Such as: buying two currencies in the 1- 30 range, two in the 31-60 range and two in the 61-90 range?

That's a good amount to start with, and a lot of the coins are down right now so it's a good time to enter the market. I'd recommend ARK, NEO and OMG, maybe with some Ethereum as well. There are other good ones out there but those are my personal favorites at the moment. No reason to diversify across more than 5 currencies when you're just getting started.
I wouldn't diversify much with that amount. Find two coins with good growth potential, Gaf likes ARK, and invest 250 - 300 into each one so you actually make some decent gains when the coins go up in value. Transaction fees will eat up smaller gains real fast if you only by one eth and try sell out when it goes up a $100 bucks for instance.
Good amount to start, but yeah pick 3 coins max with that amount. And get the money into the coins of your choice right now! Everything except bitcoin is trading below its actual value. It's a literal market dip, and if you can buy at these prices you will be buying at the bottom and get free money when the market prices return to normal (may take a month and a half, but still).
Makes sense as Ill keep my selections between 3-4 currencies. Was looking at ETH and ETC. Why is ETC cheaper as they are both Ethereum?
I'll take a look at ARK again, but they seem TOO ambitious to me. Not sure if they can follow through on there roadmap as it seems they have too many plates spinning. Am I off here?
Only invest in projects you believe in. ARK has big plans, but it also has a solid team. As I mention above, I believe in them so I felt comfortable putting my money there.
Personally, if I was investing $500, I would look at cheaper coins like IOTA, NAV, LINK, maybe BAT (damn you BAT, go up dammit). There's a lot of promising coins $1 or less. These are definitely more risky coins compared to something more established like ARK, OMG, etc. But, of course, bigger risk can mean bigger reward.
Holy crap staph it bitcoin STAP
This pump seems way too out of control
