Cyberpunk 2077 is $49.94 on Amazon.com right now (PS4/Xbox One) and Gears 5 is as well.

Cyberpunk 2077 is sure tempting.

But gears? There hasnt really been any moments regarding gears 5's market that made me say "holy shit i need (to buy) this."

Day one gamepass for me.

Cyberpunk is tempting, but it's so far off. I rarely preorder things and usually wait until it's closer to release for some reason.

Amazon cancelled 2 of my one year pre-orders after finally getting a release date. I called. Their response? "You cancelled it." These orders were made when I had prime and they still had a discount for pre ordering games. Beware of Amazon.

Nothing to be aware of, best service in the biz, release date, prices etc... Read the fine print, if you cancel your Prime while having open pre-orders they will be affected and canceled..yup.

£50 here in the UK for both console versions. PC is £55. i already preordered it on GOG. i really want a physical case to put on display (also need that map)...i'm thinkin i should refund my GOG purchase. get the physical PC which has a GOG code. i'm getting the game on PS4 too but i'm not buying a disc 🤮 i'll get that digitally

learn to read terms + conditions. not amazons fault. it's yours.

amazon has probably the best shopping experience and customer service.

Do you work for amazon?

This isn't true though? If that were the case my other orders would be cancelled as well since I pre order shit and the release dates vary between 3 to 6 months. (manga) Only 2 games that just happened to get a pre-order discount got cancelled and on the same day. I still got open orders as well.

SO

Do you work for Amazon?

nope :) but have been using them for 12 years no problem.
There's no physical version for PC, right?
yes but it has a GOG download code. not sure why anyone on PC would want a physical disc. we ditched physical media years ago. it's only consoles that use discs for games anymore.

Shrug.
Amazon can only cancel if
  1. Stock unavailable (seller cancels)
  2. Order not processed within committed time (amazon cancels)
  3. Pin code coverage issue (system generates easyship but when scheduling pickup it doesn't recognize the pincode. Deadlock. Seller requests buyer to cancel or waits for auto cancel)
  4. Address not specific. When order address is so vague like "Rambabu, Ameerpet, Hyderabad". Seller notifies buyer to update the address but if buyer doesn't respond after 3 emails in 3 days, the seller can cancel the order (after approval from amazon)
  5. Amazon cancels order if the product is deemed hazardous goods or too bulky for their logistics
  6. Payment not recognized. Order is in pending for more than stipulated time
  7. When the same customer is placing multiple orders on COD. Not mandatory to cancel but sellers follow up and get clarification or cancel the order
  8. When buyer requests to cancel the order
  9. When seller account is permanently suspended (on a very rare case where amazon doesn't even ask the seller to process pending orders)
  10. When the logistics partner has issues with delivery. The order is returned (technically not canceled)
I've been a customer since 2009 and they've never pulled this before. They first did it when Daemon X Machina was "out of stock" despite me ordering it the day it went live. Curiously, that order was done when again we still had game discounts for pre orders. So when I saw OP had a reduced price on a new game I thought I should mention what had happened to me. That being said Walmart also has this pricing unless I'm mistaken. Free two day shipping no prime needed. Worst thing that could happen is having to get the game physically or it running out but it isn't a niche game so I seriously doubt that. :)

Not every pre-order I'm afraid, this policy was launched recently...they will catch up to you though, or maybe old pre-orders might just slip pass the radar(I'm mainly talking about gms here). Are you a Prime member?

Oh well, that sucks. I am still one of the very few people who buy their games phsically, including PC games (I still have all my bigbox PC games :D). Not a fan of digital only releases...

Catch up to me? What?

Hmm tempting, but I'll have to see the compromises CDPR makes for the base console versions before a I commit to a purchase. I just might wait it out for next gen to get that same Cyberpunk 2077 experience showcased in the demoes.

😂😂 sir I don't want to scare you or anything like that..it just came out funny the way you reacted 🤭..I meant, your existing open pre-orders..they might go untouched or who knows. Worse case scenario you will not get release day delivery since you're not a Prime member anymore. Shit I really sound like a Rep now 😂
