Well after 10 Hours I did hit Act 2 and the Title screen. So the game itself is great but man the controls of PC feel so junky... also very very easy so far. Biggest Problem for me is that it seems that prmps like Talk etc only appear with some kind of strange delay. Everything from looting bodies to talk and grab options everyting feels like there is some kind of lag between prompts....

But now the story seems to pick up with Keanu^^.

So do I assume that the exclamation marks are the story side missions while the quetionsmarks are just random busy work for new loot etc?
Also there is no Quickload button?

I started with keyboard and mouse and lasted about an hour. Immediately went over to controller and haven't looked back. I did have to tweak the aim settings and drop it down to hard as a result though but overall this game is much more enjoyable on a game pad for me.

Felt the same about Skyrim (until I added so many mods I ran out of buttons) so your mileage may vary.

They actually had to create a separate sub on Reddit to discuss the game in a positive or constructive light. /r/lowsodiumcyberpunk.

I mean this is not to say the game doesn't have issues beyond it's bugs, that need to and probably will mostly get fixed over time. But fuck me man, I've seen some people on Reddit call this a 7/10 game or less, which just seems super harsh. The only thing in this game that is outright indefensibly bad is the AI. Everything else like bugs or quality of life issues will most certainly be resolved over time as this game gets polished and DLC is added. But to call the game "mediocre" or some shit is so hyperbolic. And now from what I'm seeing, people on the official sub are slowly starting to push back against the endless negativity cause it's getting grating.

The truth is, the game is undercooked. Still really good, but could be and most likely will become great. I'm sure 5-8 years from now when CDPR releases their next game and it's buggy as hell with other issues, people will being going "Well Cyberpunk 2077 released with all kinds of issues too. But eventually most of it got fixed and was a great game." And we'll get to do this song and dance all over again.
Just subbed to that subreddit. Breath of fresh air. This game is amazing.

God gorilla arms are ridiculous. I'm just beating the hell out of everyone. And I just ripped the gun from a turret for the first time - guys were just exploding and body parts going everywhere. I love this game.

Already thinking about how to make a corpo cyber hacker/sword build on my next playthrough.

10 hours in and loving the game so far. I was wondering however. Is there some. Sort of big casino in the game? Would love to see what a Cyberpunk casino would look like

Newest patch after a bit on the SX: the image quality is worlds better and less blurry in quality mode, and it actually looks a lot closer to 4k. The SSR quality has seemed to be cranked up too.

Hopefully though people on the base Xbox one at least get it playable.

Very cool I don’t think it looked bad before but I’ll take it. Seems to be the only good console version and nice to see it getting some performance tweaks.

Finished Act I and I must say the main story so far has me hooked. Was the heist going wrong and the deaths of TBUG and Jackie somewhat predictable? Absoulely, but I did not expect anything to happen so soon. Barely followed the media hype train on this outside of a few trailers and kept wondering when Keanu's character would show up. Well he definitely showed up in a very unexpected way. I have no knowledge of the Cyberpunk universe as well.

Oh, it's just shaders, makes the game look a bit better / sharper.

Reshade OFF:

Reshade ON:

Nice screen grabs. Normally Im all about reshade in games where it's washed out or needs a boost if it's older. But for this game I wouldn't touch the tone or contrast at all. You'll just end up crushing your blacks or over exposing your whites and losing detail on both ends. The game already does a great job of keeping contrast pretty decent. If the game seems less punchy or washed out, make sure you have your gamma set up properly. Same with your display so it's as close to 2.2 as possible.

Also becareful how much sharpening your applying, as reshade sharpening quickly turns it into an oil painting effect. You can see that on your reshade screen shot. Use nvidia freestyle at no more than 45% or use AMD CAS sharpening. Much better filters.

Man until they add some kind of transmog feature to retain clothing benefits but switch up the look, I'm basically just ignoring armor and clothing stats and just wearing what looks good.

FashionSouls: Eurojank Edition

Same. There's a mod for TW3 that scales all your armor to the best one you have so you can wear whatever you want. I'm sure we'll get this eventually.

no idea how many branches there are in the first big main mission
the one where you get the flathead bot
but went so fucking smooth at first try for me it almost seemed on purpose.

Teleporting enemies are common. Playing on hard and the teleporting enemies is a problem because it makes closing in during combat way too random. So you kinda have to favor ranged attacks.

The controls are console are maddening. Spent a lot of time tweaking them, still think they’re shit.

The shooter aspect of this is serviceable at best. Needs some work but... it’s strong enough where it can be salvaged nicely I think

wouldn't that fuck up teh level caps though? or does it only count the armor you are allowed to wear at any given moment?

While I appreciate the extra bump on the SX (since that’s what I‘m playing on): I really just want this patch to make it playable on the base Xbox One even if it has to do toaster levels of resolution.

The other versions aren’t bad but what I saw from my launch Xbox One just for shits and giggles was that it was pretty much unplayable in the literal sense and was nearing the point that would warrant a recall of the product like the PC version of Arkham Knight. My giggles and shits stopped right there thinking back that for some people have to play the game that way.

I might test it out for shits and giggles on my launch XBone again but I’m not holding my breath on how much better it gets.

No idea how it works, tbh. Haven't played in a while. All I know is that I hated having Geralt looking like he got dressed in the dark and that mod fixed it.

same, although witcher 3 had the witcher sets which were more or less the best gear you could ever get once fully upgraded, so by like mid-game onwards i was always looking the same.

would love for a mod like this for cyberpunk, right now my character looks like a clown because i can't choose what to wear

Many “Whelps”! Handle It!
I know the city isn't terribly interactive, but I could explore it for hours. Some really cool sights off in the corners, out of the way of the main streets. And then the big vistas in the north. And it all looks so different whether it's night or day.

laughed out loud when the game just went "nope" on me and 180 my moving car like a toy while "there's nothing for you here" flashed on the screen..they could think of a more elegant solution TBh

I was thinking about this today - the Xbox Series X really is the best place to play Cyberpunk 2077 on console. Not only is the system slightly more powerful than it's competitor; but it has something that the competition doesn't have and that's Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support. The PS5 experience is amazing as well; but that Dolby Atmos surround sound is the kicker for a truly immersive experience🤘

The soundscape of this game in Dolby Atmos is unbelievable - it's like living in Blade Runner😲

Anyone get gorilla arm implants yet? Thoughts if it’s worth it?

Does the framerate still feel all over the place? Or are you on Quality mode?

i didn't but if you look a couple of post up a guy said he got them and loves them
I was wondering how the boost in opening doors work. With 14 body and high tech I can already open all doors I run into. The doors check your body or tech, does gorilla arms bypass this? Wondering if it’s worth getting if I can already open doors without issue

I paid Royce with the credchip from Meredith Stout. I figured that it was bugged with something after she was adamant about going this route and it was. Fought my way through to fight Royce as a boss at the end.

Meant to ask you the question in my above post

I still have love for CDPR cause i love Witcher 3 so much but damn Rockstar Games attention to detail in a 7 plus year old game put them to shame. It clear CDPR ain't on Rockstar Games level.

Has anyone come across this? This is the best moment i've had in this game so far!

in my dreams, that would've turned into a cool ass quest when I check his phone and find a suicide text. and then go investigate his house and tell his family

that's the kind of shit i want from open-world games in the next gen..

I'd rather have the entire story of a game "spoiled" than have a single cool moment like this spoiled.

Thanks bunches.

I must be fortunate in that I haven't had a single crash yet on PC. Obviously this is going to jinx that but I'm about 20 hours played so far.

I even left it paused and went and cooked a nice meal for like two hours. Absolutely assumed it would find away to fuck itself while I was gone. But it didn't!

almost the same for me with some crucial differences, got the chip from corpo lady, immediately scanned it and neutralised the malware, went to the deal, ended up in a mexican standoff with royce but told him the chip had a malware but i cleaned it, got his trust and corpo attacked and we fought together against the militia with 2 big robots are boss.

at the exit the guy the corpo lady was torturing was there waiting for me, he thanked me for folding lady corpo's plan and let me get away without a scratch

I'm not sure on this b/c it still wouldn't let me bypass a tech door that I tried unless I was doing something wrong. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

So guys, I’m pretty much still at the very beginning of Act 1. How far should I play the main quest before I go do some side stuff?

i almost entirely only did side stuff since the beginnig. so you can start immediately.
yellow stuff are doable no strings attacjed, orange ones are a little more sketchy but entirely doable due to the bad Ai..haven't tries red ones yet.
at least if you are playing on normal

only thing, the game doesn't like that you go to certain parts of the city without reaching first some kind of main story threshold, so you might get some "hand of god" invisible walls that stop you to go further if you go too far away fro the zone where you start

Just bought the game and playing on PS5. Gotta say, it looks sharp. I don't know what people are saying about it being a blurry mess. Looks about as good as any game that's not Sony first party. Also, CDPR don't give two fucks! Every woman is hot in this game haha.

I don't understand the comparisons to GTA when Rockstar has spent their entire career making those kinds of games and CDPR is their first try. Without considering TW since it is completely different.
the issue with the game is that it doesn't look comparatively well withh anything in particular..it does a lot of stuff, but none of these in any particular brilliant way.

Ain't no gettin' around that this is a crashy, buggy, glitchy-ass game. Just did a story mission where I fell through the floor into an endless void at the start of a shootout, then upon reloading finished the shootout and it became a car chase. My ally on motorbike floated next to their bike, not on it, and when we reached our destination there was no way to exit the car I was in, I was just stuck there for eternity and I gotta load another save and see if I can find a way around it. So I turned it off for a while.

I played witcher 3 this year for the first time, to which some may say I'm about 5 years late. I'm probably playing Cyberpunk 5 years too early though.
