I meant to say that I have no idea what changed compared to the unmodded game.

Oh, it's just shaders, makes the game look a bit better / sharper.

Regarding the Ashura smart sniper rifle: Without me mentioning spoilers for this (early) main quest, is it worth reloading an early save to acquire it?

Missed the gun the first time and only found out about it when googling where to find a sniper rifle early on.

"We've greatly enhanced our crowd and community systems to create the most believable city in any open-world game to date"

"The city streets are bustling with crowds of people from all facets of life, all living their lives, with a full day/night cycle."

"According to new CDPR interviews, Cyberpunk 2077's new real-time AI systems will allow for incredible dynamism. Thousands of NPCs will have actual daily routines throughout Night City's six districts, including a ton of robust and varied characters with cyborg implants, unique designs and animations, and day and night cycles."

OK seriously, fuck this game. I'm playing on Pro, and on easy, because this game is practically unplayable at this moment. If it's up to the RNG if I hit or miss someone, because the frame rate or stuttering, might as well make it tolerable with easy. So I decided, I'll just check out the main story.

Well, I'm almost at the end, I think. I'm supposed to make a choice that will let me progress the story. Except, for some reason I'm unable to choose anything else than the first dialogue option. I have two options, and the first one is "ehh, maybe not". Really, fuck this game. The state it was released in is just unacceptable. I'll wait for the PS5 patch before giving this another go (and since it seems Sony can't supply enough consoles, the game may be ready-ish by then).

If people want to play a sim with a cyberpunk setting ..... go play second life. Let the game be what it is no what you want it to be

Am I missing something in photo mode to unlock the camera? As it seems to me, you only get two options:

1st person, which completely locks the camera to your head and only allows panning but no zooming or forward/backward movement.

Drone, inexplicably seems locked to your character even when disabling the player character appearance toggle.

What I want is to use the first person camera but unlocked and move about freely like a lot of other photo modes.

Is this really not an option?

Speaking of steam reviews but last time i checked the overwhelming majority of people there uses like a GTX 1050Ti or something, less than 1% has a 30 series card can take full advantage of the game on PC.

So how many patches will this be after the hot fix?

1. Big 47gb patch in the week leading up to launch

2. Day one patch

3. Hot fix patch

And the game just came out two days ago. Any patches I miss?

im on 1.04 latest patch from steam and game is 62.6gb on hdd. thats all game is.

I see a lot of "outrage" over NPC dialog being thin.

Do all of you live in the woods? Wtf you doing talking or even making eye contact with people for?

This isn't how cities work. You trying to get your ass kicked?

Last time i was just staring at some people ripping off someone else. I stared too long. After that i was dead. They just came over the street and killed me too

Man the visuals are just fucking insane and never stop impressing. No matter where I go I am in constant awe with how the city and surrounding areas look.

It's a treat to just drive around and soak it all in. For all its bugs and glitches, the game world itself is an incredible achievement.
Agreed.

The soundscape is also exemplary. It's like living inside Blade Runner🤘

and for some reason i found this too, as a guy

I was initially bummed that this game was first person only but after checking out all the ridiculously stupid outfits I'm glad we can't see our character. I thought clothing would all be badass looking to fit with the theme, but if you want the best stats you end up with fucking dumb outfits like this, blech

Overall, after spending a bit more time with the game, I can say that it's pretty good but the game just doesn't seem as fully realized as the Witcher 3. That world felt both huge and ALIVE, this one is smaller, more cramped, and the facade of a living world falls apart frequently with the highly repetitive and limited NPC dialogue, bugs, limited scope of side activities (so far), and lack of interesting vendors.

Anyone who says the skill system isn't deep really isn't playing enough, or isn't imaginative enough. For example, try playing a pure melee build or a pure 100% hacking-only build. Its totally doable... but takes significant specialization on the skill tree as well as specific implants and mods.

Currently I'm rolling a blade based netrunner, with primary focus on the netrunner abilities so extremely heavy specialization in increasing my RAM amount as well as cooldowns and cost reduction. Early quickhacks are weak AF and don't actually do much damage but you can get some seriously broken tier powerful ones later, like System Reset (causes target to completely shut down and fall unconscious) or Synapse Burnout (does a large amount of lethal damage based on target's missing HP, basically an 'execute' ability). There's even one called Suicide that basically makes your target kill themselves, straight up.

Once properly levelled and specced, quickhacks become AoE, not just single target... so think about that for a sec. Its also ultimately possible to lower the cooldown of quickhacks to almost nothing, so they can be practically rapidfired. I'm at a point where I don't even need to fire a shot to totally annhilate a group.

There's a lot of ways to play this game other than I HAZ GAN, GAN GOES PEW PEW CAN I HAZ DPS?!

Im only just getting started but where are all the cool quickhacks like detonate grenade in training?

So, I guess part of the issue for me with getting the complaints is people are talking about how much better the NPCs were in GTA but I honestly never bothered messing with the NPCs in V or IV... like... unless there's some sort of quest or something attached I always thought that shit was just for immersion so why would I intentionally try and break my immersion? The police not chasing you in cars is a very weird issue, though. Like, I don't know it drops my opinion of the game but it's something they could address in the future and I'd be happy.

I missed it too, anyway to get it after that mission? I don't have a save that goes fast enough back. Bummed

Can anyone confirm that it seems like crowd and traffic density has been bumped up significantly on PS5 with the latest patch? Seemed like a huge boost when driving through today, also resolution seems a lot clearer.

Good to hear. I might have jumped the gun shitting on the skill system. Doing a focussed handgun and knife build and the section right after the prologue gave me a little insight into what that will be like.

Real talk: This thread and the "Mix it Up!" thread have made the Cyberpunk experience so much better. It's been awesome so far. I love seeing how the game is on different setups, having a looksie at everybody's dicks and boobs, and all the funny bugs in the game.

Alright, back to what we were doing...

Yeah game is much sharper and traffic is fucking everywhere now. Couldn't even pop out and get some photo's.

Still not quite Vahalla in village dense but improved.

I cant remember who was asking but I finally found blueprint to craft mods.

I finally got my first legendary blueprint as well. So far this seems to be the best way to acquire the best guns. Find legendary mods then build them to your liking.

Let me know if anyone finds a good way to farm higher tier materials. Still thinking finding them at random shops and buying them is the best way.

Dang I haven't even touched crafting yet.

By some accident the game progressed from there. I still was unable to select anything else than the first conversation option for the rest of the game. The credits are now rolling. I didn't do much side content, but the ending I went with wasn't the default either. And...

...ehh. I'll come back to this later. On PS5, because on a Pro, this shit just doesn't work. But I have to say, a massive letdown. I guess my expectations were too high, but this just isn't that great thus far. I can live with some bugs (this is way over the limit though), and I love the aesthetics, but as a game this just isn't so fun. I'll wait for my second playthrough for the final verdict, but thus far it doesn't seem your decisions matter that much in the grand scheme of things.

lol, Ubisoft got way more hate for AC Unity and Watch Dogs for much less than that.

Two weights two measures, right?

No way Jose. The side content is huge apparently. I haven't had as much time as some to delve into this (I'm still setting up for the job with Dex, but damn this game is compelling ) the whole first-person aspect works really well. Just did the braindance thing and that was a tonne of fun.

Sounds like you’re about the same spot as me - the brain dance was awesome.

Well after 10 Hours I did hit Act 2 and the Title screen. So the game itself is great but man the controls of PC feel so junky... also very very easy so far. Biggest Problem for me is that it seems that prmps like Talk etc only appear with some kind of strange delay. Everything from looting bodies to talk and grab options everyting feels like there is some kind of lag between prompts....

But now the story seems to pick up with Keanu^^.

So do I assume that the exclamation marks are the story side missions while the quetionsmarks are just random busy work for new loot etc?
Also there is no Quickload button?
