I'm thinking this gam could get 97 on next gen Consoles, they will have so much time to work on the next gen version and fixing all the bugs

This is going to run so terrible on ps4/xbox one. I really want to see the game pre and post patch on last gen hardware.

Sounds like you would prefer call of duty over a huge expansive RPG

No RPG's are my fav genre even tho i also like some shooty bang bang in CoD which were also riddled with bugs this year. lol

Also we should lock this thread, won't anyone think of the poor transera community?

Where’d you order from? Really wanted the collectors edition but alas

A small and humble online shop in a small socialist country. It's just the regular boxed PC game, not the collector's edition. I think it's the first physical PC game I buy since Dark Souls III Apocalypse Edition. I just wanted the little goodies like the map and postcards and a yellow box for my shelf.

I played AC Valhalla for around 60 hours while I was in quarantine with COVID last month and I’m still not at 50% completion yet and I’m not even doing all of the optional stuff. I’m actually glad 2077 will be a shorter game but with more replayability.
You and me both - I was hoping to get it done before this released but alas, I'm still going. Love the game but it's long!

No, YongYea said it's like 30 hours for main quest + lots of side quests.

Other RPGs ruined the meaning of side quests. IGN say loading a previous save and finishing side quests drastically changed the ending options. “Remember just because something is a side mission doesn’t mean it is not important to the main story”. This is not surprising to anyone who’ve played W3.

Half the reviews go on about how the game is great but not the greatest of all life and timelines.

Like, how long have these people been playing videogames?

Get real, it’s your own fault you trap yourself in hype.

And i say that as one in the Hype Train™️. Next stop, Night City BAYBEEEE!

CHOOOOOOO CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Sure. I CAN'T hit the shift key before typing a letter. :messenger_tears_of_joy: You shouldn't have asked yourself if I am able to; but if I cared to.

For someone who alleged, quote, "you clearly don't read lmao ", based entirely on the fabrications of his own mind, you sure are asking a lot from others while doing so little yourself.

Since I'm outside typing in rainy forty-degree weather, the answer is no. No, I do not care to.

And I sympathize.
I guess the myth cold water clears one's thinking has just been debunked.
Thanks for your contribution to the medical sciences!

Let's focus more on my grammatical errors instead of your nonsensical attempts at reasoning (no period!)

You mean the attempts you couldn't find it in you to counter with a proper argument? You mean the attempts which managed to elicit the deep philosophical reply of "you clearly don't read lmao " from you?

Clearly, you're the real King Philosopher here.

since there is so much reset era talk in this thread I just wanne say.
I completely support trans people and people should be able to be who ever they wanne be. Because who the fuck cares.
But man calling CDPR transphobic because of a joking tweet 1 employee made who got fired (and it was a good joke) and that poster that really represents the world and was made by a trans person even.. It just does not make sense and you cant reason with some of those people.

These early reviews were done without a day one patch correct?
Correct. There WAS a patch they received, but it was not THE patch. Probably explains why they only allowed reviewers to use stock footage. That either shows a lot of confidence in the day 1 patch... Orrrr a lack of confidence across the board, lmao.

Such a damn disrespectful thing to say considering how hard that team and its staff has worked on it. The amount of stress they've been under, especially after all the other BS he spouted out. Now here he goes again, lol.

I'm right there with you, but that last part is the problem. A lot of the people making stinks just can't be reasoned with. Why are they making those stinks? Who knows, it could be anything. All it shows is that those people making the stinks are apparently miserable, or just want to ruin things for everyone else that literally have no problems with whatever it may be. On top of that, they can never be pleased it seems.

I don't really understand the hate for the Gamespot review.

If being woke is simply talking about some cultural issues and that offends you then well you're as snowflake as the people you complain about.

It's a pretty ok review and the reviewer doesn't like how the game fetishes trans concepts. Which is probably true. It does and it didn't sit well with her. Though, I'd argue that an aspect of cyperpunk fiction is the the unhinged use of technology making human life cheap. So of course human augmentation would become super cheap and thoughtless. I mean this is a huge aspect of the culture in Transmetropolitan. People can change themselves so much that it becomes trendy and a fad, but that's not usually a good thing. Thats a dark future.

But it's 2020 and as these things become actually real of course humans are going to have a more nuanced view. It seems like 2077's thoughts about it are stuck in the 80s.

Which I'm of two minds about. A lot of the "progressive" reviews talk about how the gangs and things like corporate Japanese groups are stuck using ethnicity as identity, which yeah was fine in the 80s. But we have different views on that now. Like I wouldn't find a GTA7 having GTA3's sterotypical one note ethnic gang depiction acceptable now. But then again, maybe the game is trying to be a send up to exactly that 80s style. But Cyperpunk is far more nuanced than that. Plenty of works in that genre tell real human stories beyond the on the surface edginess of something like 2077.

I don't know still excited to play the game of course.

That’s the main issue. A majority of people are not denouncing equal rights for trans and it is a issue. There is already a dedicated thread for it. It’s the fact that if you like the game you are labeled as a transphobic, which is entirely stupid. Meanwhile they are discrediting the work done by trans people there 🤷‍♂ Developers have been vocal about it but let’s discredit that

Can’t even have a discussion about the game itself.

A CDPR employee running the CP:2077 Twitter said "Are you assuming my gender?!", and I believe a couple of other jokes as well that were along the same line. They were pretty solid ones too, lol. People made such a stink about it that the person was apparently fired. Then people ran with it, claimed that person was transphobic, claimed CDPR was transphobic for hiring them, etc.

People are absolutely ridiculous.

They had the first 40 odd gig update, there is still a considerable day 1 update to come (allegedly)

Was just going to ask about that. Maybe that’s why they tried to push the review date out? Generally curious on which version to buy but I normally go WRPJs on Xbox, JRPG on PS5 but...if it’s a buggy mess I would imagine it would be less buggy on PS5 since the dev kits have been out longer?

No, we're not.

Whether people like it or not, we are in the middle of a cultural battle for who gets to determine what types of games are made, how they are presented and what is considered acceptable forms of the media we all love.

Fuck every single one of these no talent pubes, with their second rate degrees in multi media communication. The scale and ambition of a game like Cyberpunk should be applauded. It is everything wonderful about AAA gaming. Sure it's riddled with bugs, but that's because it's shot for the stars.

We do get to complain about some shitty journalist marking it down because it didn't fit into her batshit insane view of the world. If she wants to create that world, well she can fuck off and learn to code and make that game herself.

These people do not like video games.

Unless the reviewer is trans, I could care less if she thinks it "fetishises" trans concepts. I wonder if the trans game devs who actually worked on the game agree.

White women sure love hitching their bandwagon to woke controversy and pretending to be the voice for all oppressed groups

Honestly, knowing what kind of company CDPR claims to be, I wouldn't be surprised if they ran trans-centric ideas by their trans employees to see if they would be "acceptable". I can't imagine they'd focus on any of that without doing some form of research. Especially since a lot of us that aren't trans are known to be fairly ignorant to a lot of it, so there's some learning to do.
