October's got a few great games lined up and we get Radiata Stories and Burnout Revenge within two weeks.
and We Love Everything about Katamari Except the Box Art on 9/20, Sly 3 on 9/27.

I was pumped for Shadow of the Colossus -- then I played it.

Ya...it looks cool and I'm also not whining about the low FPS. The gameplay just felt empty. Maybe it was because it was unfinished...but so was Zelda and it felt so much more satisfying.

"Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga II" is now an October release, as well:

Unfortunately, it still doesn't have an announced release date. In August, Agetec said "It'll be a few months yet.," so an October release could happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I think those all ship on 10/25 and should arrive physically in stores on 10/26...just in time for the fifth anniversary of the PlayStation 2's US release! :)

I plan on getting Jak X: Combat Racing and Ratchet: Deadlocked that day. I noticed on the EB Games site that Sega is releasing something called "Taito Legends," which is priced at $19.99. Is this the Taito classic game compilation that was originally supposed to be released over a year ago? If so, then this could be something else worth looking into.

SSX On Tour comes out the day before, and a week earlier we'll be treated to Shadow of the Colossus and Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.

Damn, I forgot about We Love Katamari and DDS 2. Well, even though it comes out on Xbox as well, Capcom Classics Collection hits on 9/27 and it's only $20. Instant purchase.

My birthday is 10/25 :)

It's awesome, fugimax is just lame.

Damn right, its freakin' awesome. I was hyped before but after playing the demo my hype meter is at an all time high, I haven't had this much fun with a demo since the MGS2 demo was released.

Seriously, I've replayed the demo like 20 times at this point. The rest of the world is so tantalizing, teasing me with glimpses while the demo crashes if I wander too far. Fuckin' demos.

As I said in the other thread, I've taken to finding the most awesome ways to kill myself now. I love falling off a cliff on my horse, mmm...

Why oh why did my OPM subscription have to run out on last month's issue? And just when they got to a demo that I really wanted. My urge to run out and buy this issue of OPM just to play SotC is rising and fast. Hopefully Gamestop will get in the demos that they're supposed to give with pre-orders.

I thought my subscription to OPM ran out too, 'cause I didn't get an issue for one month. Then suddenly I got the September Kingdom Hearts issue real late in August, and I'm like 'wow, I got a subscription to Feb now it says.'

Anyway, it's worth it. I mean, just think of how awesome it's gonna be when you finally get the full game. If you never got the demo, you're just gonna be blown away by moment after moment. I have one less moment to be amazed about, but it's cool.

Here's hoping my issue comes in late. I know it's definitely worth it to go pick up the issue off the rack but there is this nagging voice in my head that is holding me back. Part me just wants to wait until the full game is released to absorb it in all of its splendor. If I play the demo, my media blackout would really have failed. :lol

If you're not sure as to the status of your Ziff Davis subscriptions, visit this page for up-to-date information on everything from billing to whether or not your latest issue has been shipped to when your subscription ends.

Anyway, I don't think the demo will ruin the game for you. It's just so fucking awesome that any waiting you have to do after the moment you play it will be brutal torture. I'm a geek, but it's been a long time since I've went to bed thinking about a game.

Taito Legends European game list..:) I assume the USA release will offer the same titles.

Looks like I'm going to have to work some magic in October. Hopefully some of those suck ass so I can cross them off the list. :-p

Oooohhh Star Wars battlefront II.. nice.... Hey they are making MotoGP4? Oh good another racing game with the same tracks as the last 3! Hell I'll probably still buy it, I bought the last 3....

When does Battleshit come out?

Damn, the "picking up" topic is really picking up:

Damn, the PSP is really about to pick up! - 09/05
Damn, the DS is really about to pick up! - 09/05

i guess we can conclude that xbox and gamecube have shit coming up :)

Damn, not a single game on that list I want. Where's Katamari?

And Taito Memories will be better if they decide to put it on the PSP. I have discovered I enjoy old arcade games better when I'm portable. Weird, huh?

Ah, the GOTY for me. The demo has me somewhat convinced that I will enjoy this game even more than RE4 (and that's big praise).

I think that it's safe to say that when I play a demo for longer than I do some games, it can only mean good things for the final product!

Using this logic, Burnout Revenge is going to be another one of my addictions for the rest of the year. I played that one little race like 60 times.

Both Gamespot and EB said that DDS comes out on 9/27, so its not an October release.

*sigh*

To quote VyersLives, an Atlus employee:
DDS2 won't be coming out on 9/27
When retailers don't have a date, they MAKE ONE UP because it's required in their pre-order computer systems.
I would have figured the official ad banner I posted earlier in the thread, that clearly says "October" on it, would have been enough. Apparently, I was mistaken.

GAF: Brilliance At Work™.

I have a slight feeling PS2 will totally own the rest of this year. And my wallet...must resist. :(
