Wow! I never saw that short movie before, it's impressive!
This quality will only be a reality in 2 generations from hereof consoles from here regarding videogames.
Next gen should look good enough to be qualified as "CG graphics" though.

Just because graphics potential will be much higher doesnt mean all the crappy animators out there are going to somehow magically get this level of quality overnight, in many senses I think people will be disappointed by their expectations next gen.

Too true, what get me though is how people keep going on about getting 'Toy Story' graphics when what really made the movie click was the story and characters. The pacing of the action in this short is great as well the animation and the general production value.
