I'm going back to intern in the states in a month and due to customs (and my) retardation I have to mail my J-1 VISA back to the Government. My VISA sponsor sent me to this page to get the address to send it to (at the bottom of the page). However, when I tried to FedEx the package, the people told me the ZIP code I gave them does not match the address, i.e. it's a Virginia zip whereas the building is in Washington DC.

I imagine that it's just a typo on the website's part, but it's really annoying. Could anybody tell me what the zip code is for
Customs and Border Protection
1300 Pennsylvania Ave
Room 5.4.D
Washington DC 22209 - wrong zip
Attn: Passenger Operations

or how I could find it out. Thanks!

Awesome, thanks!!

Though there's something worrying about it that the zip is SO far off than the one given on the website. I mean they're not even close, so it's not like a simple typo. Is there anyway I can find out if the Customs agency is really located at that address?

Ya, going through the Google links I've seen 20229 come up a lot of times. And like you mentioned it's on Yahoo maps as well. Plus, it's very close to the mistaken address of 22209. So I think 20229 is the right one, or at the very least the one I'll be going with.

Thanks a lot man! If there's anything you want from Canada, just ask.

go to the US Postal Service website, they have a zipcode lookup where you type in the address and they give you the correct zipcode.

Well it looks like they're all correct. 20004 and 20229 are both valid, but for Customs stuff it's at 20229. Thanks everyone!
