Sakura would probably be my main if we get a Dangranronpa fighting game. Peko looks like she has some hidden potential too. It would be interesting to see what fighting styles all of the non-sporty ultimates would use in such a game. The idea has so much potential.

The idea of a fighting game is really funny, let's see the ones with natural fighting potential:

Sakura
Peko
Nekomaru
Akane
Monokuma
Mondo
Fuyuhiko
Usami/Monomi
Mukuro

The others, I imagine, would fight using some "joke" skills, related to their Ultimate talents, like Roll and Phoenix Wright from Marvel vs. Capom

And dude, your avatar is amazing.

Gundam. Dude fought Nekomaru to a standstill, which is pretty impressive considering how rail-thin he is.

I think Taka would be a shoe-in also.
He could have his Kiyondo form as a special/stance too. Maybe even as a secret character.

I made a list of potential fighting styles and archetypes for some of the non-combatant types here (includes DR1 and DR2 spoilers). I don't think they would have to all be "joke" types, but they would certainly have unconventional styles compared to the usual roster in fighting games. It's why I think the conceit that it would all somehow takes place
in the Neo World Program could be a good one, for this kind of spin-off.

I would seriously love using the
Dark Devas to wreak havoc on enemies. And summoning animals or something if they want to add something else to his special abilities.
. I could see Leon being used as a fighting character without too many joke moves. And of course there's Jill.

Actually, the idea of a fighting game could work really well with this series. Even if they aren't all fighters, some could be support characters. The more you think about it, the more it makes sense/works.

Didn't the first Danganronpa fan book confirm that Byakuya learned how to fight when he was growing up? Which would make sense given his family history.

Makoto could be a joke character with clumsiness. Or they could also play with both his and Nagito's luck.

Hiyoko's dancing could be used (and smack people with fans?) and Kazuichi's mechanical prowess.

Komaru could the megaphone from the trailers of AE.

They all have a lot of potential.

I really think Makoto would be relevant to the concept I came up with:

Makoto Naegi (turtle/runaway, power up character)
"Attacks" by flailing and generally being oblivious as to how to fight (e.g. tripping, trying to kick only for his shoe to fly off as a projectile that needs to be picked up to use again). Relies on gaining "Truth Bullets", switching between them and launching them at the opponent to various effect, mainly to keep them away. The character's goal is to achieve the "Closing Argument" state, in which his unconventional attacks becoming very powerful and is overall strengthened.

It makes too much sense, at least in the mold of pre-existing characters, especially considering Phoenix Wright.

I would love to see how they could incorporate Celeste as a fighter. Would she fight through that metal finger thing of hers or throwing cards like Gambit?

Also, give me Hajime as the Ken to Makoto's Ryu.

I hated Teruteru, easily the worst character along with the loli girl in Danganronpa 2 and Hifumi.
Nagito on the other hand, I agree with you guys. The best character in the series by far. Byakuya Togami in second place.

he can say there will be no more murders and end up being right. By virtue of that, he ends up living to the end.

That's a great price for kyoko. As for Nanami Chiaki, that's about the pre-order price I've been seeing, but that shipping cost is whole lot cheaper compared to what I've encountered. Good deals.

Also, had my own problems with Hiro and Hiyoko. Both were annoying to some extent, but I can't say I hated either of them. They both provided some interesting moments, but pale in comparison to the other characters. Burger story and
bad end
had me laughing out loud though. So I like Hiro a little more than Hiyoko (who never really provided any memorable moments). Still doing Island mode though, so who knows...

NG: This is from one of our fans. Is it possible for there to be an Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban) x Danganronpa spin-off of some kind? That seems to be popular these days.

He’s okay with lending Monokuma to Ace Attorney, but he feels like if they (the Danganronpa developers) got the characters, they’d end up murdering someone or something. If he had a chance to use those characters, he’d definitely want to kill ‘em in Dangan, so …

Steam is gradually gaining … I won’t go with that … It’s gradually increasing in Japan. I restrained myself. That said, he feels like they would like to do a Steam version of the game, that would be really cool. He thinks it would be really neat to do. A solo PC version is not really something he would want to pursue, but Steam definitely is really cool.

Hm, the only problem is if I order Chiaki, she's a preorder so I can't use Amazon's currency conversion, and I can't seem find find how good/bad the fees are if I let my Visa card do it.

I dunno, Hiro's funny, but Hiyoko's just a legitimately horrible person. Hiro does

Is Kodaka-san a fan of the Persona series, and which is his favorite character, and also, is there a possibility of a crossover between Persona and Danganronpa in the future?

Persona is what it is, and it’s got its thing going, and especially with 4, it’s this community thing, right? Regarding Hiyoko x Hiro
the problem I have with Hiro is because he cheats his friends. Hiyoko is at least honest about how she despises everyone. She is a worst and dangerous person but I prefer her because she is frank. And incredibly dumb characters like Hiro and Akane annoys me lol

I wouldn't call her honest. She's clearly manipulative and it's called out several times at the start. She still uses her (questionably) good looks to manipulate people, she just gets away with it somehow. Speaking of, I wanted to barf on my Vita when Hajime did the whole "am I even worthy of spending time with Sonia" thing. Gross.

Eh. When did Hiro cheat his friends? The only thing I can remember is when he straight up asks you to give him your organs but then again when you refuse. It's not like he kills you or anything.

Speaking of other characters I disliked/found boring. Sonia is up there.
She was bland, I think she was supposed to be the Hiro of Danganronpa 2 but she just wasn't as funny. :(
