As soon as I saw "Ultimate Detective", I figured "okay, he's either gonna be the first to be killed or he's gonna be one of the killers, because they wouldn't keep a character like that around again like in DR1"

Hell, half of the talents in this game are just asking to mess with you, like not having the Ultimate Cosplayer make an outfit to help frame a crime.

Played through the demo again - definitely liking the vibe I'm getting from it.

I love it's a self contained demo designed to show you how the system/graphics look and work, and to introduce the characters without ruining any of that sweet, sweet story.

Calling it now though, Ultimate gimp-mask is a murderer.

I forgot about the anthropologist. They totally made him a killer with how suspicious he talks and his oufit and maybe that's intentional, so I betting he's a victim instead. There's almost no way he survives though.

I also can't imagine him to be a killer. I don't think he's the type of character written to have a good motive for murder. I think he's probably going to stir shit up and get murdered

The demo hopefully won't be how the full game sounds since in Japan, there was a patch to improve the quality of the voices not even a week after it launched. I'm guessing/hoping that NIS America will have it be a day one patch or something, but I'll ask on Monday & see if I can get an answer.

No, all it does is bring back the main characters from 1 & 2 & they're more of "hey, you're the new main character, we'll help you learn the ropes." The case is very stand alone & doesn't spoil anything for all 3 games, aside from who the V3 cast will have.

Predictions...yeah, I'm expecting the artist to wind up killing someone at some point. The tennis player ending up a victim instead of a killer also seems like something that would probably happen. The anthropologist almost seems too obvious a choice for a potential killer.

I've been told here that you have to download the Japanese voices for UDG because they couldn't fit them on a cart.
I assume there will be a free "HQ voices" DLC for the full game. If so, hopefully there will be two - one for each language.

Your right to be cynical. I've basically chose the wrong guys and girls to back in every entry because they end up dying. Oddly enough I don't feel comfortable around the main character this time around. Could see her being a shock death but not sure how they would implement in the game.

Ace Attorney series (DS/3DS) or Sweet Fuse (PSP/Vita) are my recommendations. There was also that Collar X Malice game (Vita) that came out not too long ago but is quite pricey right now, so I'm waiting on a price drop. Looked decent to me though.

Ace Attorney is a must. You can play all 6 games and most spinoffs on 3ds.

UDG is a third person shooter. If you want trial stuff: Ace Attorney. If you want murder, mystery, and puzzles: Zero Escape. If you want VN stuff: Steins Gate. DR takes a bunch of different aspects though so you want get a perfect thing to tide you over but there's stuff to scratch those itches.

Ace Attorrnry is really really excellent.

I like UDG a lot, myself. It's got some interesting gameplay ideas, and the story is great even not being a mystery.

In my end entomologist guy screamed instead of talking and Kaede was barely audible, among other examples.
It was mentioned several times, seems like a problem with the three versions, hopefully they will fix it for release.
Normally I would go with vita but after playing this on steam maybe I would go with either Pc or ps4.

Don't really know what to make of the rest of the cast. The maid seems pretty cool and Gonta appears to suck.
