UDG is more of a side-story that takes place after the events of DR1. It has no relations to V3, which is its own story unrelated to any other Danganronpa game.hey...is ultra despair girls worth playing if i'm gonna play v3?

I'm not particularly concerned. A false protagonist scenario seems extremely unlikely.Your right to be cynical. I've basically chose the wrong guys and girls to back in every entry because they end up dying. Oddly enough I don't feel comfortable around the main character this time around. Could see her being a shock death but not sure how they would implement in the game.
Yeah, there's something in the demo that might seem like a spoiler, but it's not. It's just a reference to the Japanese-only demo for the first game.
Yep, both Ann and Kaede are voiced by Erika Harlacher.Main character sounded like Ann Takamaki. I'm guessing it's the same voice actress.

She also voiced Kyoko in previous Danganronpa titles, incidentally.
If nothing else, Ultra Despair Girls will make you appreciate Toko a hell of a lot more as a character.hey...is ultra despair girls worth playing if i'm gonna play v3?
it was bad enough they had a separate download for higher quality audio.
I completely forgot she was Kyoko. She sounds completely different. You can tell Kyoko was one of her earliest roles because she's muuuch more talented now
I felt it was part of Kyoko's character to be kind of detached and unemotional so I didn't mind her voice.
yes but apparently not the vita demo.
Played the demo a little earlier - they're obviously setting her up as an asshole character but I really liked Miu.

Agreed. It was a good role for an actress that was green.
Tips for Mind Mine? Stuck on very first one lol... Shit's impossible
Edit: as I type this I realise you don't have to clear the whole board *slaps forehead*
Oh yeah, not trying to say I didn't enjoy her Kyoko (I really did), but it's nice to see her blatantly improve too, you know?
You're better off leaving D2 on a cliffhanger than watching that hot garbage.Watching recaps of the first two games as a refresher and then I plan on watching the D3 anime. Is that any good?
I liked both of the anime series for D3.Playing the demo got me back on the Danganronpa train. I forgot how good this series is.

Also, I played through the demo the first time with English voices. Might give it a go with Japanese voices next...see which ones I prefer.
At least the Japanese audience also ranked her very highly.
Gonna take some time adjusting to this new voice actor for Monokuma
You mean the returning voice actor?

The Japanese voice actor is not the same as in 1 and 2. The previous actor declined due to getting dementia and retiring.
The voice actor changed in the Japanese dub, as the previous VA unfortunately developed dementia.
It's still the same person in English, I think.

So this demonis made of entirely original content? The trial we see here and, I assume, Makoto and that main dude from DR2, are not in the final DR3 game or are they?
The anime is shit. I couldn't take any scene in that first arch seriously when every other shot was filled with bouncing boobs, panty shots, and every other fanservice trick in the book. Hard to take a character's death seriously when the show itself can't take itself seriously for a fucking second. If you really want to watch D3, watch only the despair arc. It isn't great but has good moments. Stay far away from the future arc.
Just finished the demo and not really feeling it. I think that the new lie mechanic could lead towards some interesting narrative direction but, in general, the whole "reality show" setup is wearing thin.
Also, this might silly to say after completing two games, I think all the senseless killing has become too much of a negative to me. Every time I talk to a character I deem interesting I also resignedly think "I wonder in what arbitrary way they would die in this game" and thus I can barely enjoy the interactions.

I guess, but even still, maybe just the episodes before Junko is introduced. It becomes the Junko show from that point onward, unrelentingly so.

You'll find out at the end of the demo, but regardless, it's non-canon.
If you want the answer right now:Makoto, Hajime, and Hiro are acting.

Who wrote the DR3 anime?
Pretty disappointed in the audio quality (on Vita). The English voices especially are waaaay too quiet, even when turning the voice volume all the way up.
I hope getting the game on the Vita isn't a mistake. I'll probably need to clear up space on my memory card if we get an audio patch.
Kodaka and Koizumi. I don't know who did the English dub, but it seems to acknowledge the train wreck that it is in a shrill, but somewhat enjoyable manner.
