You always have to play for 10-20 minutes before you are available for matchmaking.

Wouldn't it be great if they fixed that?

Aghh. It's such a bummer having your favorite game of all time be plagued with so many small bugs that overall become really substantial.

I've owned this probably since it was first on sale but have never played it for various reasons. I'll finally get started soon but I remember hearing something about upping the framerate from where it is at default makes the game do certain things at an unnatural speed. Is that the case since I'd be fine with 30fps or whatever if 60 or more has some weirdness.

Imo the multiplayer is still broken so it shouldn't be out of beta until it's cknsistent. When it works it's great but right now even eith everything updated I have 2 nodes and I've been playing for an hour, no multiplayer fun unless I turn on my Xbox

Your rolls are shorter and you fall faster. Sliding down ladders can lead you to falling through the floor and dying. But, you can just press backspace to set FPS to 30 whenever you are trying to slide down a ladder, or make a few very specific jumps/rolls across gaps. Then press backspace again to go back to 60.

Otherwise it is pretty much fine, although I would argue that it makes PvP very inconsistent, lot of desyncing of animations when playing 30 vs 60 FPS. I have spent so much time at 30 FPS, that just having a locked 30 is satisfactory to me, the weird quirks that 60 FPS adds, and the issues in PvP, make it less desirable to me than it is to most players.

Hmm, I was getting non-stop invasions yesterday. Co-op is hit or miss, but based on the fact that PvP is so active I have a feeling that that's just because the ratio of people looking for help vs offering it is very skewed. I always see tons of signs on the ground before killing a boss.

I didn't notice any problems when PvPing at 60 FPS, or is the problem that the other player will see me desyncing?

Ya it's on the other players end, it's not a smooth combat scenario, movement and attacks arent consistent visually.

Ugh, that stinks. I had no idea. I suppose I'll have to go to 30 fps for PvP then.

To be fair a lot of people still PvP at 60 FPS, and I am one of the few that takes issue with it. I think if both players are on 60 FPS, then there aren't problems. So, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
