It sounds like you have to have a higher resolution or that. Not unless you can combine injectors anyway. So what's the chance this game is going to see an ENB injector help change up the rather flat lighting?
I read on the steam forums that the game isn't using the GPU to nearly its full capacity, and bumping up all of the graphics options can help this. It fixed the vast majority of my framerate problems, still get minor drops but it's above the performance of the console version at least now. And drops to 25 or so instead of 15.
Specifically, in catalyst control panel I have it set to overwrite application settings for the Dark Souls exe. AA options turned all the way up. I have V sync off and triple buffering off. And I have Durante's mod on with the resolution set to 3840x2160 in the config and 1080p in the game.
Now I can actually play the game and stop messing with settings.. I hope.
PS3/360 versions look BAD now. Can't go back....
Huh I'm going to have to try this. I image what's helping most actually is the disabling vsync, but I couldn't get that to work on my game. DLing new drivers atm, hopefully it'll work with the new drivers.
GAF -> Internet -> GAFDurante has made Kotaku. Somehow, I'll never understand how, they turned his 23 minute fix into "a few hours".

Nah I had V-Sync disabled from the get-go. I have Catalyst 12.8, think that's the newest

Cool game. I played the tutorial section three times to get the hang of the controls.[/QUOTE]
You're probably fat rollin' with all that gear in the beginning.
Anyone have it crash right when you click to open the game? It says that the executable has stopped working. Fault module name d3d9.dll. I'm running 6950's in SLI and i52500k windows 7.
I just wonder if the issue is some weird power saving thing, the GPU goes into a low power mode or something and forcing AA forces it to work harder and prevents it from switching to that mode. GPU usage always dropped to 0% during the drops for me. I'll give his a try tomorrow and see if it helps. Thanks.
I'm sure that'll get patched if it happens. This game is #1 seller on Steam right now, so it might've already payed for itself and that might turn into Bamco supporting it with patches, maybe. We shouldn't really take anything for granted with this port lol.
The game only sold around, what 9,000 copies? That isn't that great.
Is there cross-platform play with the 360? I've already bought it but I'm just curious.

My game crashed right away. I had steam verify integrity of game cache and it solved the problem by downloading a 956kb file.
I recall AMD has a similar issue with another game a while back. Can't recall what it was.
This is happening for meVerify Integrity fails to fix it........ Was working before i put the fix in game dir, Anyone have any suggestions?
probably try deleting all local files in Steam and red/ing the files.
If you're talking about the concurrent players/peak players numbers shown in the steam statistics page, that's not the number of copies of the game that were sold, the concurrent players number is the number of players that are playing the game right now, and the peak today number is the highest number of concurrent players the game got today. The game only sold around, what 9,000 copies? That isn't that great.

Peaked at 9000 simultaneous players I think. Not necessarily 9000 copies sold but it probably didn't blow any doors off at Namco.
are you running msi afterburner or another on screen display? turning that off worked for me.
9000 doesn't even really represent the amount sold today or especially the lifetime sold (especially considering the physical release in other parts of the world). This will be a really profitable venture, eventually (hopefully they don't ignore Steam Sales).
Also reporting the game runs fine on my system.

Oh sweet thx man, was running both lol, apparently it was Afturburner though... Dunno why didnt have an OSD on that, Only on fraps
On another note, were is the 1080p option in the Vid options? i was under the impression it was the internal render thart was locked? its weird i set it to 1280x720 32, and when i hover mouse over initialize it shows 1080p in the colum next to it? i dun get it is this just showing that what res it will scale to or what? :-/
Anyway about to try it with the fix Downsampling 2560x1440 > 1080p (i shudderd when i saw the first cinematic without fix lol)
Edit: WTF Full screen off allows my to set it at 1080p? uhhhhh so do i just run Full screen @ 720p 32 bit, and the fix will still work or what?
I managed to add 8xMSAA with RadeonPro and the game didn't crack out on me. Even increased the internal res to 2560x1440. Can anyone tell or is it some kind of placebo?

Oddly enough, my frame rate has stabilized since I last played it a couple hours ago.
Fraps seems ok to use. I have the in game set to 1920x1080 32 bit, and the internal at 4096x2304.
Sorry for the stupid question, but I had to install Steam for this to work and never used it before. Where is the DS installation folder so I can copy over the resolution fix?
Maybe I'm blind but I can BARELY notice a difference between the default upscaling and it running at 2560x1440. I'm imagining this is because I'm playing on my TV 8 feet away eh?

Hmm so are you running it at FULL SCREEN on 1080p in options? cause if i set it @ full screen i can only select 1280x720 16/32?? Wtf lol![]()
Yeah that's what I was thinking:It's outselling Counterstrike: GO and is in the top 10 played games on Steam. I think sales are probably pretty good.
yes. I don't recall it being a problem. I did change it to that before the fix, not sure if that had anything to do with it.
