Dark Souls is the worst PC port I ever played.

DS was a crap port of a good game, no amount of "but it looks as good as the console versions and thus is fine" crap will change that.
On the other hand Durante has fixed the major problem with the game and it looks like from soft will not make the same mistake again.

Saint's row 2 is the worst port (unplayable framerates no matter what kind of hardware you have)

Then come the bioshock games (awful pseudo mouse controls that are really just an emulated analog stick, ruins any enjoyment one might have)

Dark souls is shameful but at least it was fixable durante, there is no fix for the other two

SR2 does have playable framerates of just under 60FPS at max with my system (i5 2500K, GTX570), you just need to override the double buffered Vsync. (and I am sure I saw something to fix the fucked up game speed).

Minimum System Requirements
Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
1.8GHz Intel Core2Duo or 2.4GHz AMD Athlon X2 64
1 GB of RAM (Windows XP) or 1.5 GB of RAM (Windows Vista)
16 GB free hard drive space
256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900

This is literally the dumbest shit I've ever seen on the internet...

Ironic.

GTA IV can run fine on a C2D and GFX cards like the GTS250, you can go look up videos of people playing it with those specs on youtube!

I have a 3.2 Ghz i7 and the game runs like dogshit unless I turn shadows off.

I can run GTA IV maxed on a i5...

This thread makes me wanna create another thread about bad console to PC ports, if there isn't one already. I've been playing mainly on PC since Christmas and boy, the number of issues and badly optimized ports is astounding. I'm glad there is something like PcGamingWiki, it's proven very useful.

Look at how many games From Software has developed for the PC and that will tell you why it's a bad port.

Well, there was the PC-exclusive Sword of Moonlight. It was a full toolkit for making your own King's Field style RPGs, and it included a full remake of the very first KF in the new engine. Pray that From Software decides to do something similar for the Souls series some day.

No idea what engine they used for Ninja Blade or who did the port, though. It only wound up as PC/360 because it was a collaboration with Microsoft at a time when they were still actively fishing for exclusives from Japanese devs.

I think some russian dev did the Ninja Blade port.
