True story: This was the first RPG/slasher I've ever played. I've always shied away from them because I just don't like RPGs--I can't stand inventory/resource management, it's too much thinking when I just want to play the game. And I've stayed away from slashers such as God of War because I've never been fond of repetitive button-mashing.

To my surprise, I loved this game to pieces. It was easily one of my 10 favorite games on the PS3. I will definitely replay this once I get a Pro+4K TV.

Just 1, and sadly 2 was already remastered in crappy fashion. I don't know how DS1 fares but its 60fps at least. Unlike DS2.

This was the game that made me start playing on hard. I beat it on normal, then watched my friend do so on hard (apocalyptic), and was jealous. He told me that it wasn't very difficult, and I came to the conclusion that most games were getting too easy.

I'm playing through Warmastered on apocalyptic.

Was that one of the final, more gothic dungeons? I remember getting really annoyed by one later puzzle.

I don't particularly like involved puzzles in games, though.

I can't figure out which is the PS4 version. One looks worse, the other has bad framerate and screen tearing. Seems like a poor remaster.

Probably depends on sales of this and the Deathfinitive Edition of DS2. I REALLY FUCKING HOPE SO THOUGH.

Man, I doubt we'll ever get that proper sequel, but I will cry tears of joy that day if it were announced.

I've now halfway through the game and that nasty crash that corrupted my save hasn't come back. Have been making manual backups on USB just in-case it happens again. Doesn't seem like anyone else had that issue - so I hope that I was just unlucky.

Have been conversing with one of the developers on Twitter and he is aware of the issues I have. So hopefully it'll get looked at and patched.

The developer did mention that the FMV was remastered in 4K, so that's where your 40 gigs went people. That's super cool - it really looks it as well - it's pretty indistinguishable from normal play.

Looks like I got a Karak review to look forward to watching a bit later too.

Other than the really bad occasional FPS drops I didn't have a crash luckily.
