Dating a woman who has a male roommate

OK -- So I met this woman, she's really nice, funny, attractive, has a great personality, is doing her residency in the medical field, is really my type, etc. I can barely find fault with this woman, not that I'm particularly looking. But there is one kinda strange thing. She's got a *male* roommate. Now, he's 10 years older than she is and they went to medical school together, etc. but it's still kinda...weird. It reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where George was going out with a woman who had a male roommate. So that has given me reason to pause.

Has anyone had any experience with this that's gone either good or bad? Even though I haven't known this girl for very long at all I really have a good feeling about her.

I'm pretty sure it was George, and the roommate looked like him. Or maybe I'm wrong. ANYWAY... the woman I'm seeing has a male roommate.

No, he's not gay. She asked me once on his behalf if I knew any cute single women that he could get with.

There was an episode with George dating a woman with a male roommate, but IIRC there was another with Jerry doing the same thing. The guy had a mustache and sorta looked like a porn star as I recall.

Actually, you're both right.

Jerry went out with the woman who had a male roommate (apparently her too-close brother), and George went out with the woman who lived with her (just former) boyfriend that looked like George.

HOWEVER, the lookalike moved out towards the end of the episode, so eh.

I know me and I know that there is no way that I could live with an attractive woman and not hit it atleast 3 times. I would go crazy otherwise. That doesn't mean that they are doing it now, or in the future. They might be passed all that by now. So you might have nothing to worry about. But just like Chris Rock said, "For a man, a female friend is some pussy that he was trying to get, but somehow fell into the 'Friend Zone'. For a woman, a male friend is like a dick in a glass, break in case of an emergency!" :lol

I say, go for it, see where it leads you. If you start to suspect that something is going on, then jump out. I dated a girl that had a male friend, then ended up being roomates. I don't think anything was going on as I used to go over there and hit it all the time. But still, there was something just not right about that situation. I never really felt like I knew exactly what was going on with those two. It was like she was into me, but he had nothing going on. So she always tried to make time for him or include him if we went out. I just didn't really feel comfortable so I got out.

I'm a 25yr old man with a 23 yr old female roommate. We mutually are not attracted to eachother, and we're like sibblings. She's hot, and I'm good-looking, I've been told, but we would never cross the line of messing around, so no worries.

People all over the world live in much more cramped conditions than just deciding who a roommate might be. Some people don't have a choice, so don't think some situation is 'weird' because there are roommates of the opposite sex.

Well, there was an episode where Jerry went out with a girl who at her apartment was dressed in only a towel, but there was also "this dude" there.

I had a female roommate for a while, and NOTHING happened. Although she seemed like a cool girl at the time, I quickly found out that I was wrong, wrong, wrong.

I'd just move forward like usual and not worry about it.

Yeah, live with anyone and you're bound to find out the ugly, ugly truth about that person. It sounded like the guy she lives with is a bit of a bum, too. So...things can move forward then.

I've had male roommates, and there was *nothing* and I mean *nothing* between us. Don't let it hold you up. If something is off it will reveal over time, but whatever you do, don't jump to conclusions. Just be open and discuss anything that comes up with her.

Don't pass up on something good.

Do you have a small penis? If not, then there's nothing to worry about. If so, go buy yourself a Corvette to conpensate for your insecurities.

Nope, Jerry went out with a woman who had a female roomie.
Yes, but he did BOTH.

[Jerry is picking up Lanette again. She opens the door wearing a towel.]

JERRY: Hi!

LANETTE: Sorry, I'm running late. I just lost track of time.

JERRY: No rush.

(Lyle walks by wearing a towel.)

LYLE: Hey, Jerry! What's up?

JERRY: (to himself) I have absolutely no idea.

:lol
