Did anyone else watch this? The last five minutes of the show really made the whole two hours. It was interesting to hear about Dave's childhood and how he got into comedy, but a whole lot of his answers were really pat. Perhaps Dave isn't used to interviews.


And he smoked, like, seven cigarettes in two hours.

James Lipton dropped a few bombs that caught Dave by surprise:

"Tell us about Half Baked."

"Who, Dave, was the inspiration behind 'I'm Gonna Piss On You'?"

"I have one last question about the In The Chappelle's Studio skit....where's my fucking royalty check?"

Yeah, that was interesting, hearing him discuss the crazy-talk surrounding his leaving the show and taking a break in Africa.

And I liked the candid answers about the business of being in Hollywood.

Yeah, a couple. James Lipton mentioned this episode that they were at the half-way mark of the twelfth season. I'm not exactly sure who's been on recently.

I've been too busy hoping Santino get's his snotty ass booted from Project Runway. *sigh* Maybe next week.

Far better than the Oprah interview. Like you said he was much more focused and he actally seem to be more in touch with his reasons for getting away. I think Lipton's interview was better than Oprah's because Lipton took time to get to know him and his background. That put in to context what happened over the past year. Oprah didn't do that, you can tell that Oprah is much more comfortable interviewing people that are much more comfortable with their celebrity than Dave is.
