Way overdue. Will definitely listen. All we need is Dave, Jazz music & a joint (for me).

Didn't see a thread, tell em I was politicizin if old.

Black Star is one of my favourite albums of all time, but I'm not particularly interested in what they have to say outside of music if it's more the activist or negative stuff. I'd much prefer a positive podcast - Dave's story in the YT clip is great and I'm up for more of that content.

What am I saying, I'm never paying for Luminary so it doesn't matter.

Im not subscribing, but will check out clips that slip by. If it gets real good I'll wait, get the trial, etc.

It's interesting.

He'll fit right in with reverend dave chapelle then
Say what you want about Dave's politics - he's got nothing on Kweli in terms of douche factor.

Kweli would go after people on twitter all damn day calling them racist if they didn't agree with him, no exaggeration.

The guy got permabanned on twitter for harassing a woman over a stupid tweet and is apparently still harassing her through proxies. Pretty sure he just looks at Google alerts for his name all day like a psycho. It's a shame because he is a helluva lyricist.

I've heard Mos in interviews and he seems like a chill dude, whether or not his insight is amazing or anything who knows, but at least he's not a straight up asshole like Kweli.

So this is not available on Spotify or Apple Podcasts? I love Dave Chapelle, but not really wanting to subscribe to a new service.

I did a quick search to look into Talib being banned. Regardless of what you think of Talib’s defence, everyone in the situation looks foolish. She accused a list of rappers of “colorism” for marrying lighter skinned women, and at best he spent 2 weeks replying to her continued tweets over it, tweets from someone half his age and name no one knew existed until he shined a light on her. Dude needs to calm down getting amped up over vapid bait.

Hopefully Mos and Dave are a good influence on him.

In my searching I also saw something about a new Black Star track debuted on the show, so that’s something.

I kind of don't like Dave 'Podcast' Chappelle. Very different from standup Chappelle.

I think agree, and to be honest I wasn't feeling his last couple specials, especially the one where he went on a diatribe/rant rather than performing funny bits.
