Yeah, he's not even the best drummer in The Beatles. Is there a more overrated drummer? Seriously.
edit: yeah, he hits the kit really fucking hard.

Thanks man, this is awesome. Also cool news about Grohl, although I haven't listened to any QOTSA since Songs for the Deaf, but I hear they kinda went down in quality. For those that have never heard it.....well shit, for anyone because its thats awesome....
THE FUN MACHINE TOOK A SHIT AND DIED

The radio stuff just makes it even better.
Polari said:Era Vulgaris was shit, but everything else they've done is god-tier. I hope this is great.
I really hate Foo Fighters but I find Dave Grohl really likable. Its weird.
Fuck yeah. That's awesome news. Songs for the deaf is still my favorite Qotsa album.
Probably just the monitor/earphone settings.
I can almost guarantee they have his kit (over)mic'd.
Nice.
Oh, and Dave Grohl is a lot of things, an overrated drummer is NOT one of them.
End of story, no argument.
era vulgaris was good, but not good for a queens album. it was very uneven. there were some really good songs on there but some duds too. hopefully dave will reenergize the band!
'Run, Pig, Run' was probably my favorite from that album (unless we include the bonus version of 'The Fun Machine Took a Shit and Died')
I love that line at the start:misfit love, im designer, into the hollow, 3's and 7's, and run pig run are all awesome. im designer in particular is an incredible song.... probably in my top 5 queens songs ever!
Have you heard Rated R?

A number of things. Tweaking some things for the HTDA full LP (coming in Spring), helping Josh out on a new QOTSA track, working with Roy, starting rehearsals for two bands.
Just when I thought shit couldn't get any better:
HHHNNNNGGGGGG!!! I loved the track "Era Vulgaris" and was shit surprised when it was not in the final album.
Agreed.I think I would have preferred some more Them Crooked Vultures but this is just as great news
Is there a version of Era Vulgaris that has both Era Vulgaris and The Fun Machine?
Edit: That there is. Japan wins again, also includes Running Joke. And only $84 for a new copy? What a deal!
