Rest in Peace you wonderful man. Such a master of music who inspired millions and shaped the whole music industry with his work.

You will sadly be missed by us all.

I listened to the entirety of Blackstar on my way to work this morning, and wow, what a wonderful piece of music to leave us with. I may not have the same history with his music as many of his diehard fans, but thanks to my wife, over the 13 years we've been together, I've been exposed to some of his best work. Many musicians don't get the chance to have such a consistently quality discography, and then to leave us with another piece of beautiful work before they pass on.

Ma Its only really sinking in now. Such a huge part of my teenage years and childhood. I have to say too that after giving Blackstar a few listens it definitely ranks among his top 5 for me.

His likeness feels like a natural match for Amano's art style.

Wow - truly a moving tribute considering the sad news. I wasn't aware of this collaboration until today. I feel so miserable about the news - I will pray for his family and friends in this their time of need.

David Bowie sir, you will be tremendously missed and I hope that you will bring as much cheer, joy and happiness to Heaven as you did for us here on this mortal coil.

I was listening to the news in my commute, and they just casually mentioned this. I was having a great day, now I feel like shit. RIP Mr Bowie, I am grateful that I found your music a few years ago, you are my favorite artist.

Like quite a few people here, I've been sad when artists I enjoy die, but this one really hurts. I've never cried over someone I wasn't related to but Bowie definitely deserves these tears. What a tremendous musician. What an honor it is to hear his music.
 
Agreed. I can't really put the feelings into words, but this has been a screwed up day for me. Feeling this way over someone I never met, but I guess I sure as hell felt like I knew him.

Very well said. That is exactly how I feel as well.

I will be drinking several toasts to him this evening.
 
End of the latest Big Brother episode just showed a snippet of his ex-wife receiving the news of his death. I don't know if them airing her reaction is a good decision or not.

Even without cancer, I would doubt that's his full head of real hair. But if he was receiving cancer treatment, it's most definitely augmented or a toupee. Regardless, he was stylish as always.

Yeah, it seemed really uncomfortable for them to exploit something like that. It was short but she spoke of how his death just seemed like the end of an era and then she's just hunched over and evidently crying. I really wish they had the tact to not air it. She has chosen to remain in the show instead of leaving.
