I really enjoyed it at the time, i thought Jeff Goldblum was great in it, i've never watched it since, a really good film as i remember it.

Yep. An absolute classic. Seen it many, many times. Cronenberg at his most commercial and arguably most restrained… which is a good thing.
The sequel is pretty good too, though much more run of the mill.
