As my day starts later than others, I actually like the fact that it's still not too dark when I leave the work in the evening.
I kinda wish if they'll keep this Daylight Savings time as its default, and make one hour even later in coming winter time - so that we get sunlight at least til 6pm.
It's really depressing when sun goes down around 4:30pm in NYC.

It is a waste. The whole point of the U.S. doing it was that politicians in the 1970's used this to see if over time 'daylight savings' would help combat the energy crisis. There's no data confirming this worked toward it's purpose the way they measured.

Today it's still around because everyone just assumes it's for more daylight. And that still doesn't justify it. The U.S. will never remove it either because the moment you change a 50+ year old time rule -- some will fume about it. So...it just comes and goes.🤷‍♂️
These fucking people running things... It's purpose is solely for monetary reasons. I am not even a slight vibration-of-surprised.

Well, never bothered me, y'all are weak af

every year on the Monday after the switch, hospitals report a 24% spike in heart-attack visits around the US.

Just a coincidence? Probably not.

Doctors see an opposite trend each fall: The day after we turn back the clocks, heart attack visits drop 21% as many people enjoy a little extra pillow time.

"That's how fragile and susceptible your body is to even just one hour of lost sleep," sleep expert Matthew Walker, author of "How We Sleep," previously told Insider.

I don't lose an hour of sleep, it always happens on a weekend and even if not, you can just go to bad earlier for once lol.

Yeah. I think its goin away next year or sum shit here in EU but they kept delaying it. No idea if thats the case anymore but shit sucks.
They had us vote some years ago and then told the countries that they have to sort it out amongst themselves, which of course led to nothing.
The correct solution would have been to decide to set it to winter-time permanently as that is what it was before that brain-dead idea was implemented in the 80s.

If someone dies due to missing 1 hour of sleep, fucking hell, they must be hanging on to life by a thread.
Sleep is more critical than most realize. Suicide rates and deaths are more likely after periods of poor or lack of sleep. If you want to learn more, here's a great science-based discussion:
