Ross announced his new role on Tuesday in a tweet promoting nearly 50 job vacancies at the Square Enix studio.

"I'm excited to announce I now work at the amazing Crystal Dynamics as Design Director," he wrote. "That's all I can say other than I'm thrilled with the project, and especially the team of really wonderful people."

Days Gone was way better than it had any right to be and as the Game director, he had a large part in making that game fun to play. Sony shouldve given him a much bigger team for the sequel.

He really wasn't. It was issues with upper management at the "studio" not Sony. He butted heads with Studio leadership.

Days Gone >> All recent TR games. While DG had a slow start, i really enjoyed the story and the world. It's one of the best looking open world games. It was my fav game of the last gen and it was even better on the PS5.

Imagine Days Gone 2 running on UE5.

Well IMO, I always knew it was an inside joke of some sort. It's clearly written that way. My problem with it (without ever playing the game, I admit!) is that it's just bad writing IMO. Because it really does make the characters look even more redneck than just wearing jean jackets and riding on a motorcycle through a zombie apocalpyse while wearing a backwards baseball cap. I mean come on. I seriously have no interest in the game because of the way the characters are presented. And if it's not bad writing, then it's just reinforcing the stereotype of certain kinds of people being "trashy." I mean that kind of joke at the wedding alter ... wtf.

It's embarrassing.
