So I've been reading Superman and really enjoying that, but that's the only one I've been really consistent with. Read the starts of Wonder Woman and Detective Comics, but sort of fell off despite enjoying them.
What are other ones that are largely agreed to be the must reads?
*Deathstroke - I really enjoy this book because it's just different from most of the comic book's you read. The writer really puts you in Slade's mind, and man, there is a lot of appearances by other DC Characters.
*Detective Comics - Like you said, you enjoyed it. Plot varies from excellent to good, amazing art, and features arcs with multiple members of the Bat family.
*Batman - Now, this book has fairly mixed reactions on GAF. But I recommend picking up the last issue, it's a oneshot issue guest starring Swamp Thing dubbed "The Brave & The Mold" - pretty interesting issue I though.
*Batman & The Shadow - A 6 issue miniseries, written by Snyder (of Batman/American Vampires/etc. fame) and Steve Orlando (wrote the excellent the Midnight series). Only 2 issues are out but so far it's very solid.
*Nightwing - Fun book, good art. Nightwing moves to Bludhaven and misadventures begin. Damian makes an appearance.
*Green Lantern - All of the Green Lantern books have been solid.
*Red Hood & the Outlaws - Wow, this book has been very good so far. I'm really surprised. Red Hood teams up with Artemis (an Amazon) and Bizzaro.
*Justice League of America - I've been enjoying this so far, Batman creates his own Justice League featuring Vixen, the Ray, the Atom, Killer Frost, Lobo, etc. It's been a fun book with great art.
Thanks!
I remember hearing good things on GA but never got around to reading anything of it.
If I read any other Bat books, it would probably be Tec or Nightwing if that one is turning out well. Sort of want to take a break from Batman for a little while for whatever reason.
Thought I'd heard good things on Deathstroke, but to hear Red Hood is a bit of a surprise. I only read a few issues of the original run, but good on them if they managed a turn around.
Shame about Justice League.
Curious but did the new Titans or Aquaman books turn out well? I saw that Abnett was on both and I have good memories from his Marvel Cosmic stuff with Lanning.
I haven't read Aquaman, and have only read the last few issue of Titans but so far I'm enjoying it.
