I really hope Justice League improves.
Just wait for Orlando's JLA.
I really hope Justice League improves.
Superman #7 might be the best Super-Man comic I've ever read
(After All-Star Superman)
Will I need to read #1 - 6 to appreciate #7?
And so far I've stuck to Detective and Wonder Woman, and they've both been knocking it out of the park.
I've read part 1 and 2 of Night of the Monster Men, and I really couldn't get on with the writing of part 1. What really got me was how everyone maintains code names while on mission in tec (including Bat's reprimand to Spoiler in #940), whereas in Batman everyone's on a first name basis out in the open. It's always been a gripe (I hated it in the Arkham games), so it was nice to see Tynion use it, even if Orlando didn't...
No, you won't. It's very self contained.
I think it's decent so farKing's run ain that good so far? He needs to bring that Vision heat to Batman.
I really hope Justice League improves.
I dropped it after issue 2. The story is all over the place, I can't see it being praised in the future. Could be wrong, I guess.
Super.
Edit: That was fantastic. The last page put a massive grin on my face. Just a shame we didn't get to see!Mediaeval Superman
Please, God. Please, be true.
If you enjoyed that, you should read #1-6, which are largely about establishing Jon (Clark's son) in this new world.
Are you familiar with Priests other famous works? Black Panther and Quantum & Woody were also incoherent at first as well. The story comes together later like in a Quentin Tarantino movie.
Do we know Helena Wayne's status post Rebirth?
I see a lot of impressions of King's Batman. So I'm gonna toss in my two cents. I'm enjoying it so far, it's solid. Nothing amazing or great, but it's enjoyable.
The stand out Bat-Book, and rebirth book in general for me has been Detective Comics. Geez, it's just great. If you haven't pick it up. And if your a fan of Cass, Tim, or Steph, pick it up ASAP.
And lastly, the Night of Monster Men arc has been enjoyable so far. The diaglouge, art, everything in general is solid.
Snyder said in an interview his next project with Capullo was bigger than Batman. That's got to be either Justice League or some kind of ongoing Watchmen series.
She and Power Girl are back on Earth 2. Helena Wayne showed up in the last Earth 2 Society.

This is very exciting! The Teen Titans need another chance.Batman Beyond Rebirth
Teen Titans:Rebirth
This is how you introduce a team. Give them all their moment in the spotlight. I love the art, and dialog. Garth waking up was priceless. Reminds me of the show, and that is a good thing. Damien is about to clown these fools all day.
easter egg. Starfire's pet from both shows is shown in the apple. kudos.
5/5
Between this and Green Arrow Benjamin Percy suddenly became one of the best writers in DC's stable.Teen Titans:Rebirth

Blue Beetle
What the hell isdoing in this comic ?Teri Magnus aka Justice League 3001 Flash
Otherwise this was a thing, think they may be laying the bickering/banter on a bit too thick honestly, it's kinda distracting when every page is someone bickering with someone else.
.
Teen Titans was great, wow, definitely what I was looking for. Young characters sort of bouncing off each other. Art was gorgeous, too; is Meyers on board longterm or just for the Rebirth issue?
Also, Suicide Squad continues to be way better than I expected it to be. It feels just "edgy' enough without crossing the border into eye-rolling.
Teen Titans Rebirth was good but I already know I'm gonna hate Damien. Just the fact he was able to catch the whole team already makes me annoyed with his crap. I hate arrogant ass child characters who can't smell their own shit. And I think I dislike Damien more than most because on top of his personality, he is an ultra competent golden child.
I can't believe how much my opinion of Percy has changed with Rebirth. I wrote him off after his lacklustre Green Arrow run during DC You, yet he is delivering in spades now. Teen Titans is just stellar; it's everything I wanted in a TT book.
How's Blue Beetle? I'd love to hear some impressions.

So I picked up Teen Titans rebirth, and thought it was a good opening. Only 2 things bothered me.
1 how op will Damien be? The way he captured all of them is ridiculous.
2 what is with all the ads? It felt like there was an ad every other page.
1. Probably not particularly. You'll notice he avoided getting into a straight up fight with any of them and played on psychological manipulation and tech The interesting bit will be that Damien is likely to be incredibly bad at fulfilling the usual "Bat" team role of Strategist / Field Commander since he's got appallingly bad people skills, he makes Bruce, at close to his worst, look like Mr Congeniality. So it's a little hard to see what he's going to do beyond provide resources and an initial plot (especially since Gar and Raven both have prior experience with Tim in that role).
2. Can't help with this, was reading digitally.
Thanks, for the 1st point it was probably the movie version of Damien that made me hostile to this one. You're probably right, he didn't interact with any of them, he just played to their weaknesses.
As for the ads, the comics digitally don't have them?

Batman 8 - thebat suit was awesomeBatman/clay face
The Supergirl time crunch is annoying the shit outta me(like I knew it would). Not sure why they needed her to be a high school student instead of a college student.
