DCU Batman introduced in Creature Commandos

I interpret that more as "the character of Batman in BatB is different than the character of Batman in the Reeves film". Doesn't mean the same human can't do both. I mean really, in the audition it's "so, Robert, why are you right for this part?"...."I'm Batman" is all he needs to say!

Now I doubt he will be 'cause I hope they go for a more physically imposing man, but until they announce casting I wouldn't completely discount Pattinson. Or Affleck for that matter if he could clean himself up.

But we all know it's gonna be Chris Pratt. James Gunnis very insular in his casting.

Pattinson was never going to the DCU Batman. There’s a chance he’s never going to be Batman again.

Hmm, I was a bit peeved by this idea, but he could fit in this more comicbooky universe Gunn is creating. It'd be a more easy-going Bruce Wayne like in TAS from the 90's. The one thing I can't get over with him as Batman is his voice that feels too squeaky, but maybe he can correct that beforehand. Otherwise, in a non-cannibalistic universe, Armie Hammer would easily have been my top choice.
I feel like "The Terminal List" was Pratt making his play for more serious stuff. He's clearly charismatic and can handle drama, but can he be INTIMIDATING? TTL says yes.

Cool, you recommend the show if I quite like Pratt and don't have particularly high standards?
It's quite a good show all around. It's VERY dark though (that god aweful HDR dark stuff that seems all the rage these days, it's also tonally very bleak and dark) so make sure you can watch it in a dim room lest it become a muddy mess. Hard enough to tell all the spc-ops guys apart with their beards, hats, and tac gear if you can't see the image clearly.

But I like the books and this was a good adaptation of book 1. The 'prequel' season drops soon I think so it's worth watching.

Just watched the first episode and yeah, I can totally see him as Batman. And he's also sort of the right age if there's going to be a younger Robin and Nightwing (don't remember which one would be in the DCU too) and it's an older Bats.

Just watched the last episode and it really feels like a vehicle for Pratt to get the DCU Batman role, it even had Gunn's brother in a role lol. Prime's shows have been very hit and miss so I didn't have high expectations, but this was very, very good! There was a part in episode 4 when he tells a bad guy to put his gun down and he seemed Batman-levels aggressive. Also a part later on where he says "I am justice". It was delivered much better by Pratt than the "I am vengeance" line from The Batman (2022). You could think it'd be a cheesy line, but it felt 100% natural here. He's really grown as an actor. Now I want him even more to get the Batman role. Also, the show was amazing in that it didn't have this constant blue-balling that some shows do where a character gets frustratingly saved in the last second.

It's wild anyone would think they'd have Pattinson play 2 different batmans lol

I'd be totally down for a Pratt-man. As other's mentioned he's pretty excellent in The Terminal List, does the calm but angry thing really well. I'm generally just a fan of the guy TBH.

Super happy they are doing multiple Terminal List "things" (a sequel and a prequel for Taylor Kitsch.)
