Dead Internet Theory becoming more real every day: Meta to allow AI 'Users' on FB and Insta

Whatever little worth may be left on the internet is soon to be destroyed completely:

Now, Meta is planning to take the next step: integrating these AI creations as Facebook and Instagram “users” in themselves. As reported by the Financial Times, the hope is that these semi-independent custom avatars will prove more engaging to the young people who are crucial to the survival of Meta’s flagship social networks. “We expect these AIs to actually, over time, exist on our platforms, kind of in the same way that accounts do,” Connor Hayes, Meta’s vice-president of product for generative AI, told FT. “They’ll have bios and profile pictures and be able to generate and share content powered by AI on the platform  …  that’s where we see all of this going.”

The question won't be 'Do you remember what the world was like before the internet?' It will be 'Do you remember what the world was like when the internet was real?'

I always wanted to date an AI girlfriend on FB dating .

I feel like there's decent Twilight Zone material here. The AI learns to be toxic shitposters who become so good at telling people to kill themselves it leads to the extinction of the human race.

Sadly, this reeks of desperation
the hope is that these semi-independent custom avatars will prove more engaging to the young people who are crucial to the survival of Meta’s flagship social networks.

You don’t play single player video games ??
This version of AI emulating users is actually something I've wanted in multiplayer games for a while now. Something to revitalize a multiplayer game when the userbase has all but left.

Instead it's still basic bots with basic routes or bots so ridiculously hard because they read user inputs and have 100% aim.

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
It’s already all AI. Maybe by “allowing” it, they’ll at least be better notated?

But also who cares. Social media is already awful anyway.

Tomorrow starts the new Facebook (aka…..new name, META) rule where they can use your photos. Don't
forget the DEADLINE IS TODAY!!! I do not give Facebook or any entities associated with Facebook permission to use my pictures, information, messages or posts, both past and future. With this statement, I give notice to Facebook it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, or take any other action against me based on this profile and/or its contents. The information: The violation of privacy
can be punished by law. NOTE: Facebook is NOW A PUBLIC ENTITY. All
members must post a note like this. If you prefer, you can copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once it will be tacitly allowing the use of your photos, as well as the
information contained in the profile status updates.
DO NOT SHARE. Copy and paste.
Here is how you do that:
Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go to your page, start a new post and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click paste
This will bypass the system.

Who wants this? I will go or stay wherever they offer the opposite. I don't care for simulated human interaction. I only want to interact with 'AI' as a tool, not as a replacement for humans.

Damn, what should we all do know? We're going to be so lost! This is terrible!!

In the end, we humans will be forced to revert back to... gasps... REAL interactions in with REAL HUMANS... in REAL LIFE !

Frankly, the "Internet" has been in a sad state for a while now - only a small percentage of content on it has value.

I welcome AI if it removes / cleans up most of the garbage and it adds more of what's missing.
