I don't know which.
Probably the latter.

I'm not too familiar with sweetfx but what settings did you use to achieve those results?
is anyone getting any short 1 second stuttering while using sweetfx? I'm trying to figure out whats causing it.

On lots of stages, there are new particle effects during explosions. In the PS4/XB1 version, when you land a critical burst, there is a new effect with particles.
The particle effects are much better in PS4 release than the PC release. The PC release uses the Arcade (PC based)/PS3 version particle effects. However, the Image Quality (SSAA and AF) more than makes up for it, IMO.
EDIT: Beaten
You are talking like if they had ported the PS4 version it would look way better. I don't think you have played either version.Third option : Tecmo should be ashamed.
Yes, I know that, however here is what he said:

Wait....in the 4th picture are her boobs bigger?
DOA5 is being decrypted. On mobile so here are some links:

I see people still here trying to defend this game without its 2 stages, soft engine, online, graphic options, particle effects, resolution options, button mapping.
Good job.
It means we can extract texture and model files from the game, edit them, and compile them back into the game more easily. At the mo, the files are stored as a scrambled mess, only the game can read them because it has a decryption key to unscramble the code.My mistake, I thought you meant in general.
What does "decrypting DoA5" mean to a laymen?

Ideally we'd have all the assets in plain text so we can just grab a .dds texture file from the textures folder for example, edit it, overwrite that file and then bam, recolored costume / hair etc without using any external tools to extract and recompile each time.
As soon as the game is decrypted proper costume / character mods can start happening, with newly modeled assets, not just re textures.
The best part about the online modes for the PC version is that it's probably a significant re-write from the console versions. What the console versions have over the PC version are two extra stages -not a big deal- and online play. The graphics have strengths and weaknesses on both. It's the online play that is important. If Team Ninja does a good job with it, the PC version will be superior. Right now though, PS4/Xbone win since they already have it.
Someone's breaking down how the data in the PC version of DoA5 is kept in order to make modding the game easier. This will both make things like texture mods easier and make it more practical to swap out other parts of the game (sounds, geometry, etc.). If you're into modding, this is a Good Thing (and for people that don't know, dantarion is one of the programmers behind Project M -- he knows what he's doing). My mistake, I thought you meant in general.

Edit: Beaten like someone trying to fight Hayate in DoA 3.1.
But not for people expecting the minimum from a PC version anno 2015 apparently.
Wonderful job Tecmo.
I'm still not under the impression you're actually aware of what a 'port' consists of or if you understand what people are actually complaining about in regards the specific features a port would affect in terms of visual quality. You only make it sound as if you're holistically looking at those screenshots and making a judgement. Even under the best circumstances, a port wouldn't consist of the game looking better outside of IQ.
Bah gawd I need to stop modding and actually start playing the game. But the ideas just won't stop coming.

Helena cosplaying as Elsa lol
how do you make mods? what skillset you need?
Good lord at the 3rd screenshot, so much texture detail missing from the PS4 version.Yes, I know that, however here is what he said:

Oh wow...
Now that's a nice shot, I like the colors in this one.
I'm trying to use GeDoSaTo to run this game at 4K downsampled to 1080p but whenever I load the program, the game flickers white and I get a "out of VRAM" message and the game errors out.
I have a HD7950 3GB GDDR5 and 8GB of system memory, so I definitely don't think a lack of memory is my problem?
Did anyone else experience this issue and know how to resolve it?
This game looks so clean and crisp at 4K. And SweetFX/Reshade really helps bring back some of the lost vibrancy of DOA4.
Here's a few quick pics:

Now, if we get really high res recreations of textures...it's gonna look incredible!
Use a custom resolution with this
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=158224627&postcount=761
use 4k resolution in the file ini and enable GeDoSaTo.
if it does not work, you must use the DSR but this option does not exist on the Radeon (or like this)![]()
If you want to use Sweetfx alongside the resolution mod, you need to use Boulotaur's 32-bit injector, rename the mod's d3d9.dll to d3d9_mod.dll (or any filename you want) and add #define external_d3d9_wrapper = d3d9_mod.dll to Sweetfx_settings.txt.
Afaik ReShade does not yet have support for external wrappers so that's why Boulotaur's works better.

I just tried it and no dice.
It would seem I'm stuck at 1080p @ 4xSSAA and 4096 shadow res. No downsampling for me I guess.
Oh well.
"If we keep doing this badly maybe they'll stop asking us to do it!"
