Dead or Alive 5 Last Round PC Information is Finally out

I guess it's pretty easy when a lot of the costumes are skin tight. Marie Rose's leotards for example... are just textures on her nude body mesh.

... :)

According to a Steam thread the game has sold ~36,000 so far

Those sales aren't bad. I expect a lot more when the online component is implemented. The game will be modded to hell and back in the meanwhile.

The lack of online actually provides an incentive to mod. You can do whatever you want with the files while losing no functionality

Agreed, ~36K isn't too bad at all. I honestly expected worse at this point with all the bad press and controversy surrounding the PC port.

It's definitely much better than BB: CSE according to steamspy, though the latter is not available in Europe. MK9, on the other hand, appears to have ~800K owners on Steam. No wonder MKX is being released on Steam the same day as consoles.

Nude mods would break my immersionism, why would they even fight naked? doesn't make any sense.

Yeah and I think BB isn't even available for Europe, I was going to buy it. King of Fighter 13 has around 300k owners.

MK9 has 800k for one platform? damn thats pretty good!

Winter sale should help the numbers for the fiscal year numbers. Also online being available by that time helps it.

BB:CSE is region locked in Europe though but you can buy the retail disc version

The original BlazBlue Calamity Trigger sold much better than BB:CSE: http://steamspy.com/dev/H2+Interactive+Co.

Im liking the direction the texture edits are going.

Not sure if it's been asked but does this game work with Sega Saturn PC pads? The steam page isn't too clear on what it covers.

Might be time for a Dead or Alive 5 |OT| with a detailed OP
There is one! I don't think there should be a separate PC OT but I think there should be a DOA Modding Thread in Community. If not now, at least by the time encryption is cracked because that's when all the fun will start. If everyone thinks it's a good idea I'll get on making it.
or if no one says it's a bad idea i'll get on making it :p

I don't think the guys in the DOA official thread would appreciate a lot of mod talk because I see them organizing games in there all the time.

Someone gotta discuss that with the mods and see if it can be done.

Yes and no. Yes, they work and you can play the game with them. The problem is that there is no way (outside of using external utilities) to map the start button as the start button. You can't pause the game.

I would really appreciate if someone could walk me through setting up GeDoSaTo for this game, only game I have ever gotten to work correctly with it is Lords of the Fallen so I am doing something wrong bigtime

Some of us bought it expecting Chrono Phantasma and GG:XXX to come to PC. Instead we got bitch slapped by Arc System Works and told "LOL DEAL."

No wonder the sales dumped.

The orginal BB has better sales because it was in a bundle for pennies. The new BB on Steam has sold those numbers at a light initial discount and at full price since that release discount. Once t his hits a deep sale discount or thrown into a bundle, expect the numbers to be around the same.

I don't know why people don't stop to think about these sort of things.

Impressively decent. I've heard people are running the game on Intel HD 4600s @ 720p60.
Really want the game, but I'm gonna wait for a price drop.

Thanks for posting this, I was wondering whether it'd run well enough on my Surface Pro 2 (Intel HD 4400, dual-channel memory setup, no throttling unlike Surface Pro 3). Looks like it will!

I got the game yesterday on GMG with the SAVE22-OVERHO-LIDAYS code, which brought the price down to $28.08.

Intel i7-4700MQ, 2.4GHz (turbo ~3.2GHz).
Using Nvidia GT755M on AC power: 1920x1080, 2048x2048 shadows, no AA.
Using Intel HD 4600 on battery, 1366x768, 1024x1024 shadows, no AA. Note that Intel graphics perform identically on both battery and on AC.

Also I performed Raijin and Izuna drops on a keyboard, lol.

Logged into Steam and I saw it was downloading an 11MB update for the game, something I don't see every day. I have my fingers crossed it adds xinput support, not holding my breath though.

If only they gave patch notes (maybe its on their website but Im too lazy to check)

EDIT:

Just tried the game and yup, it seems to support xinput now. My One controller now works properly. Don't have a 360 wireless adapter so I can't test that, but that should work properly too now.

Odd that it wasn't listed on those release notes, but it's nice to see that was also fixed.
