Yeah, it's a pretty awful practice, but if DoA5 vanilla is anything to go by, it'll all be released for everyone eventually.

Ok, I should be happy I am paying full retail price for a cropped game then. Lovely.
I consider the concept of Day One DLC to be a great insult to me as a customer.
If Tekken Revolution is anything to go by, the game on PSN is going to have a ton of players -- and a ton of bad ninja players.
Honestly, I'm debating if I should just buy the game again (I bought it on the 360 originally) or just play the F2P version and pay for the couple of characters I use. Or maybe I'll just play the F2P one until the game goes on sale somewhere (which it has about a 99% chance of doing) and then grab it then.

The netcode is supposedly improved but the game has to be out to know for sure.This version includes a few DLC packs as well as totally new costumes.

i'm wondering if tekken revolution is popular because it's the only f2p option as of right now. i dislike tr's f2p model, but i've been playing it religiously regardless. however, if this turns out to be good, i might ditch tekken revolution altogether.

Anyone know if I can finally play the single player tag team with a friend on the same console? Sucks to have a team tag mode but only one player can control the two characters.

?? thats not true, you can play 2v2 tag mode offline in vanilla. in ultimate you can play 2v2 tag online.

SF3 never left GGPO, it just got put into a "secret room." Ever notice how after the removal Karnov's Revenge had up to 80 players when initally it just had 1-2 players?
Now there's a new "3rd Strike room" named Street Fighter Tres but the population has died down significantly.

Do we have official confirmation Core Fighters is coming on the same day as DOA5U? Team Ninja said simultaneous was planned, but I have Diablo 3 console coming on the same day, and that's one day I don't want to really break the bank, and I'd love to at least try the new game, since I skipped DOA5 altogether.
