Dead Space 3 demo available for 360 and PS3

I get what he's saying, but I disagree, 1 week is more like a bonus for being gold not them hating the silver players, you still get the demo. Adverts are really annoying though, shouldn't be there if you're gold.

It's not a bonus when the demos aren't timed exclusives like this. It's just stupid when anyone can download a demo the moment it's out on PS3 but you have to wait a week on Xbox Live, even if the demo is already out on PS3. It's a ripoff, plain and simple.

All MS are doing is showing a reason to be a gold member, it's hardly a rip-off.

I don't mind if Gold members got a it a week before as long as Silver members get it at the same time PS3 users get it. You should also be allowed to use those 48-Hour codes for items like these, most of the time mine go to waste.

So EA is publishing the DS3 demo on Xbox Live! instead of Origin (their OWN platform).... GENIUS! ¬¬

Cool. I'll give it a go, but nothing i have seen of it so far looks decent to me.

And that's as a massive fan of DS1 and DS2.

Will download when it hits PS3, I have a 360 but have no urge to support the stupidity behind a timed exclusive multi-platform demo.

No PC demo is all kinds of stupid.

Speaking of a game series that is changing dramatically to alienate its old fans in hopes of gaining new ones..
Like what? The co-op is entirely optional. I can understand the worry that human enemies will make it just another cover based shooter (EA marketing is not doing a good job here), but after some of the reassurances from the developers on this forum I'm not all that worried.

I'm not going to bother with the demo. The demos of the original and its sequel both did an awful job of representing the full products. Terrible demos they were. I'll wait to play the finished thing.

Yeah, it seems I already had an account :D

Thanks.

Yeah anyone that have played any EA title the lats 5+ years that access the internet for something, should have an Origin account by now ;P

I think mine came from the fact I played some Tiger Woods game many many MANY years ago ;p

You only say that because Dead Space 2 eased you into it.

Same thing happened to Mass Effect:

ME1 RPG - ME2 Action "RPG" - ME3 Holy Shit DudeBro shooter.

DS1 Survival Horror - DS2 Third-Person Action - DS3 sstriaght shooter with more shoootbang.

Truth. So sad. I finished DS1 a couple of times back in the day and in fact still own it. DS2 on the other hand I only finished once and then sold it.

Once coop is there, it isn't optional. If you choose not to do it you are still just playing a coop game by yourself. There can be a big difference between that and a well designed single player game.

I agree that DS3 probably shouldn't have co-op at all, but that train went a long time ago. Considering they might have gone with the forced AI partner route like Capcom did for RE5 I'd say that Visceral is implementing it in a good way.

Then again, I might have been eased into it as GlamFM put it. But the DS franchise was always a shooter with horror elements to me, like a RE4 in space.

One week later on PS3...

I'll never understand why companies feel it valuable to piss their customers off on a first impression.

I'll just skip it altogether then.
Seems reasonable.

Why cut off your nose to spite your face? Do you think they care that you're annoyed?

As long as the game is straightforward it will be great, good to see that co-op in single player mode is optional and is exactly like the previous two.

Got my code and reedemed it at the xbox site, now I have to call my wife so she can turn on the damn thing.

I wish we could remote turn it on man :/

If there was ever going to be something that got me to install origin, it would be an early demo of Dead Space 3.

Sooo... still no reason to install origin!

Got my code as well. I am so skeptical of this game. I really want it to be more like DS1 but i just dont see it happening. I'm not saying DS2 was bad, but it just didnt have the magic of the first one.
