i as of now have the standard aim we all can get from aol but ive heard from my friends about both deadaim and middleman. whats better? are they worth it? what do they offer that reg aim doesnt? and how do i get one of these? are they free or i have to buy em?

I use middleman and i say its the best althought others disagree.

I cant imagine ever not having tabbed IMs at this point. I'm sure AOL will copy it in the future like they did with notifications.. so one day DeadAIM may not be necessary, but for me it's essential. I've never tried or heard of MiddleMan, but I like DeadAIM so much that I actually paid the 5 bucks for a legit copy which says a lot heh.

Im all abuut that Dead aim

i use dead aim and a older version of aim that works with the dead aim i got.

i mean If only for Tabbed windows...dead aim ownz

Tabbed windows = neccesisty...it makes holding 7 aim conversations easy.

plus making ims transparent, and logging, and different other little things that just make deadaim just a real useful tool.

ok so i go to find deadaim for free...download it...install it...and then it asked for my email and some serial #. what do i do now? i have no #.

I use a kind of old mac specific version of aim for my mac. It has no spyware, ads, bloat, aol icons or extra installs. For PC, I used Earthlink AIM, but I uninstalled it by accident. Gaim rox.

if you go to oldversion.com they have the free version. It doesn't work with newer versions of AIM, though.

thats where i found my version from but it still asks me for an email and serial #.

now i know i dont have the latest version of aim cause its been asking me to upgrade for the past yr and half.
