Deathloop having performance issues on pc. Maybe due to Denuvo

nani17

are in a big trouble

Also multiple posts over in the subreddit saying the same thing. Only one way we'll find this out is if the game is cracked.

Well Fuck...I was literally logging off work to buy this.

OP! Good looking out

Lol PC people, calm down a bit
"This game runs very poorly. The game barely makes it over 100 FPS"
Haven't tried it but gsync should fix micro-stutters unless it's spiking like crazy. Seems demanding with RT though. Is the difference worth it?

My interest was piqued over the last few days, but I bought this on PS5 instead of my PC. I suspected this would be a shitshow, and my tolerance for fixing problems is lower than it has ever been.

I agree

That's why I only game on my 3000USD (since I work, money came back in like 2 weeks for this build) PC Quake III Arena, between working sessions and normally game on my Xbox, all in all hassle free and well it's good enough for me now when games run generally 60FPS.

The 720p/1080p 30 FPS last generation era was even more unplayable from my point of view. A patch won't be able to solve that. Haven't tried this generation, but I'm sure it'll bottleneck sooner rather than later.

Ofc its Denuvo.

This useless software should die already. Instead of it taking 2hrs to crack a game it now takes 10hrs oh wow gheee

When games launch bad on console its the devs fault.

When it launches bad on pc it's not the devs fault. Gaming knowledge 101.

Yeap balme denuvo instead the game.
If the game has issues it is due it coding and the dev should eventually fix it.

Don't do this, its bullshit and you know it.

This is an edge case scenario where the publisher has insisted on using shitty DRM that has a negative impact on performance. And even with that it still runs better (and at higher settings) than the console version, it just doesn't meet PC gamers' high standards.

Because someone with a ~ $2k PC had issues with one game? When you exaggerate numbers and use annecdotes you don't make the point you think you are making.

Quick poll. For those with PS5s and nice PCs that want to play this game will you buy the ">>> better" console version of this because some users are having issues?

Digital Foundry's Alex seems to say it's also very dependent on settings

Of course, since nearly 2 decades, using the ultra/nightmare/XTreme settings on PC can really fuck you up in performances for little to no visual returns. wHy My PReforMance sUkcs? I bet Alex matches the PS5 settings with a 2060 super even with DRM.. we'll see soon enough.

Also some issues with VRR. Game needs a patch for sure.

So this game is sitting at a 60% user score on Steam. Ouch...
And plenty of people not happy with performance.

Ultra settings dont cause stuttering. Worse case scenario demanding settings lower framerates by a lot. The issues are with microstutter which are caused by either a poor implementation of denuvo or other game related issues, like shitty background loading of assets, or whatever else.
