Where to start? This past Monday's RAW was one for the ages. It had its highs and lows like a roller coaster but left the non-mark viewers very satisfied at the end.

1) The intro with Cole and JR's rap competition was the single worst segment I've ever seen on RAW. Thankfully, it only encompassed 15-20 mins of a 2 hour 8 minute long show. But the dumb kids here will harp on that like it was this big thing. Just ignore it... it was 15 mins, just move on.

2) And move on they did. That fatal 4-way was one of the best matches of the year, top 5 easily, including all of Bootaayy's no-name backyard indie orgs. That was a PPV quality match!!! Even the crowd started a faint "This is awesome!" chant... faint because they're not used to a wrasslin company delivering such an awesome match unlike Bobo's TNA garbage.

3) Well I think these video packages were before that match but I thought the WWE's version of Botchmania was REALLY good and funny. None of us expected that and it was a great surprise. Of course nobody mentions it and just says "meh RAW, decent fatal 4-way match, that's it, meh meh meh"... just shut up. It was funny and a clever way for WWE to acknowledge the botch stuff without burying the product. Why don't you idiots understand and appreciate that?

4) Road Dogg was so great. He was in fuckin PERFECT form and delivered his little promo like a boss. Loved it!

5) The Punk/Johnny Ace tribute segment was also great. I don't really need to elaborate on why. It was funny, well-done, had some classic clips, and most importantly it informed the younger viewers about Laurinatus' background. Hell I don't even remember that stuff so it was nice to see.

6) You want some rock solid evidence of the marks being marks here? Go read the replies during the Slammy winners being announced. The smoking gun was when HHH got the Slammy for his match vs. Taker at Mania instead of Punk/Cena @ MitB. NEWSFLASH GENIUSES... that was a WORK, that was the whole point, to create a segue for HHH's return. Do you not think they don't realize Punk @ MitB was the highlight of the year? Jesus christ. They needed a quick angle for HHH's return and that was an easy way to do it. You were all burying the show at this point and it made me so mad. I'm not even smart...like I'm just maybe above average intelligence and I can see these things and make these types of observations. Grow a fuckin brain.

7) dem bellas, mah gawd

8) KANE - do I even have to elaborate on this? Great return but the fire on his pants looked like something out of a cartoon, it was way too bright and kiddy... it needs to be darker. The mask looked great. The crowd popped like mad. It was awesome and unexpected and a perfect way to cap one of the best RAWs of the year.

So in closing, let's all forget about this stuff and just harp on the rap and meh meh meh all day because it would make you a loser to say anything positive at all about the WWE. You guys remind me of the gaming side and how everyone is so goddamn jaded and hate everything and criticize every little slice of cake and jump on these bandwagons and it's just horrible. Not EVERY segment is gonna be a hit, especially not in a 3 hour show. This was the case back during the Attitude era as well... there were shitty RAWs, good RAWs, and great RAWs. They were awesome segments, meh segments, and awful segments. Get a damn clue.

Anyway, final rating for the 12/12/11 edition of the 3-hour special RAW Supershow Slammys: 8.8/10.

That's a joke post, right? No way anybody thinks that Raw was anything above decent. That Fatal Four Way was a top five match of the year? The year? In all of wrestling?

Fine, top 10..whaaaaaatever

The only joke is you not appreciating a good product. That was a very good RAW and not just "decent". Get outta here with this "decent" and "meh" stuff. The Attitude era had some awful RAWs as well, just get over it and move on. This was one of the best RAWs of the year and since all the other wrasslin orgs blow chunks in terms of production values and atmosphere, that means this was one of the best non-PPV wrasslin shows of the year as well. Also, Survivor Series was incredible and killed every other PPV this year from the other orgs. The NYC crowd + The Rock + everything was unbelievable. If you didn't mark out to that People's Elbow you're not a fan and have become a jaded fool that belongs on the gaming side ripping on every new game.

Heavy, tell me more about your reaction to Kane's surprise appearance. Did you mark the fuck out? Was it the most exciting wrestling moment of the year for you? How awesome was his mask! Do you think his savage chokeslam on Cena will lead to a big Royal Rumble buyrate?

I didn't mark out that much to the Kane return, no. I like him a lot but am not a huge fan like with Henry and Rocky. I was very surprised about it because I didn't expect it and that caused some excitement...the surprise of it all.

That Kane return might have been cool, if Kane hasn't returned about 20 times before that. And has flip flopped face/heel runs every couple months for the last few years.

Also dream , don't be condescending. Your posts during RAW were so bad and just made me wanna punch you in the face. Even the other posters were calling you out on how you downplayed and Debbie Downered everything. I'm really disappointed in you because I thought you were a fan but just go watch the barbarians fight in UFC because it's REAL and not FAKE like WWF which makes it more acceptable to enjoy. Clearly liking the UFC means you're cool and hip but liking dubyadubyaeff means you're a dork. I'm done here I have to go to bed, goodnight.

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Zack Ryder lost 188,000 viewers.

Game Change of the Year with the Cena interview gained 464,000 viewers, possibly inflated because they teased Rock coming out at the end of the segment.

Randy Orton & C.M. Punk vs. The Miz & Alberto Del Rio at the 10 p.m. slot lost 146,000 viewers.

Who the fuck is the audience for this show now? :lol

Heavy's posts would be far more tolerable if he didn't feel the need to stoop to insulting and at times threatening physical violence against people whose opinions on the shows don't match his own.

Thanks Dream
...Abdullah the Butcher hep C stuff...
If Savage hadn't died this would be the most depressing story in wrestling this year. Wrestlers could really use a union, to at least administer regular disease testing like the porn industry.

Jeff was not good on the mich, but in ring he was about 10X the performer of CM Punk

Could you elaborate on this a bit? That ladder match with Taker was the only interesting thing I can recall Jeffy doing.
I mean as a spot monkey he was one of the absolute best and helped to make those first TLC matches what they were, but I don't recall him ever doing anything that could be considered in the same league as Punk vs Joe I or Punk vs Cena MITB

well, like i mentioned beore, the absurd amount of commercials was ruining the show for me. It seemed like there was way more than usual.WWE needs to pull an NFL strategy and try to air their quota during the first half that way the second half is tolerable.

Thanks dream

Love that tidbit about HHH and his ideas with development of new talent. Ambrose/Rollins/Cesaro/etc are probably ready but I definitely agree that its best to call them up when you have a long term plan for them. Far too often in recent years do you have guys in the big shows who essentially become pseudo-jobbers because they get one promo and then *poof* they only show up on holiday specials. Heck, they definitely didn't always have a plan for everybody in the 90s but they certainly had much, much more forward thinking at that time. For all the crap HHH gets with his self-promotion, I think this industry will be in much better hands than with Vince.

Certainly HHH has the right ideas about talent and he's certainly trying to branch out (even if Sin Cara and Kharma hit snags, they weren't his fault), but I thought it was an indication that he'd grown up (like Michaels did a long while ago) and stopped thinking of himself as the centre of the business. The absurd booking around him the second half of the year proved that wrong.

If he were completely off TV, I think he'd do a good job, far better than Vince. But whenever he's on TV, it HAS to aaaaaall be about him, no one else.

I can definitively see him building up new talent then if they become stars,he'll just put himself into the picture and put himself over just like he did with Punk.

want it just a few weks ago they were scared of Cena and Punk becoming injured since they are the only faces? Now there are not enough heels?

Wade Barrett was gettng mega heat during hthe Nexus deal. WWE screwed that up just so the Rock could bring it ass to boots etc via sattelite.

Masahiro Chono’s multi-promotional show on 1/9 in Yokohama was canceled when his money people pulled out. The show, which combined All Japan, Zero One, Big Japan, Michinoku Pro, Osaka Pro and the Legends promotion featured a large array of stars both past and present.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS.

I don't think anyone ever posted the Smackdown spoilers.

* Booker T opened the show interviewed by Josh Matthews. Booker T talked about winning the Intercontinental Title at TLC but was interrupted by Cody Rhodes. If Booker interferes in Cody's match tonight, their TLC match is canceled and Booker may be suspended.

* Cody Rhodes beat Daniel Bryan.

* Alicia Fox beat Natalya.

* Epico and Primo beat The Usos after interference from Rosa Mendes.

* Backstage segment with Mark Henry and Jack Swagger. Henry promises Swagger a title shot if he hurts Big Show.

* Big Show beat Jack Swagger while Mark Henry watched from ringside. Henry hit Swagger and a cameraman with a chair after the match and walked off.

* Backstage segment with Zack Ryder and Randy Orton. Ryder tries to get Orton to fist pump and WWWYKI but he won't. They will be teaming later tonight.

* Ted DiBiase beat Heath Slater. After the match, Jinder Mahal attacked DiBiase. Teddy Long came out and announced Sheamus vs. Mahal.

* Sheamus beat Jinder Mahal with the Brogue Kick.

* Randy Orton and Zack Ryder beat Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett in the main event. Orton got the win on Ziggler with the RKO. Orton and Barrett had a staredown to end the show.

Who the fuck is the audience for this show now? :lol
In order of priority...

1) VINCE... the insane one must be entertained above all else
2) Triple H's ego
3) Twitter shareholders
4) WWE shareholders / advertisers / prospective cable broadcast partners for the WWE Network
5) GLAAD, Make-A-Wish, other lobby groups & special interests who could help fund Linda's next failed political campaign
6) The mainstream media - most notably "A-List celebs like Snooki" who can use the WWE as a platform to peddle their terrible wares or who can be convinced to star in their next direct-to-Netflix movie bomb
7) Little Jimmies who buy Cena merchandise (aka The WWE Universe)
8) The parents of the Little Jimmies - they give Group 7 their spending power
9) The military
10) WWE loyalists who bitch about the product but refuse to stop watching (aka Smart Marks - this crowd has fleeting loyalty to the talent but has unwavering loyalty to the product - currently embroiled in a love affair with Dolph Ziggler after abandoning Christian, CM Punk and Zack Ryder earlier in the year - will soon resume their allegiance to Y2J)
11) Rednecks who think wrestling's real
12) Grannies who think wrestling's real
13) Folks who follow the business and write for the trades who hate themselves, the product and what they do with every fibre of their being (Alvarez and the like)

That's about it.

There's a rumor that WWE is going to do a hardcore sweep of Youtube to eliminate every bit of footage they own when the TV channel starts.

Major League Baseball is incredibly vigilant of any of their video showing up on Youtube. It's near impossible to get any MLB stuff on there other than fan-made videos at the park. Unfortunately, I could see WWE going to these lengths when the channel starts.

That was working out well until it appeared there was no real out for the Nexus. Cena kicking their ass every other week, then Wade literally got buried by chairs.

At least he's getting pushed on Smackdown now. Kinda hoping that Orton/Barrett match will be good.

That's about it.

There is a solution. Us Smart marks have to either A) Join the military, B) become parents to little jimmy or C) (and the best option) buy stock in the company.

I'm thinking there needs to be another priority group in there someplace, but can't think of what to call it.

But he's pretty straight on, all things considered.

Fans of supernatural gimmicks like Kane and Undertaker.

Go watch some Twilight or something.

We should buy stock in Twitter first. They have more clout than WWE shareholders right now. ;)

I can't remember the last time she's won a match in singles, or at least in consecutive weeks.

She might have won some singles matches on Superstars, where it doesn't matter. Divas booking 101: heels support the heel champ, faces support the babyface champ. They give up any title aspirations of their own to help the current champ (see Eve during the Kelly Kelly reign).

Yeah, that bugs me. Also how they always move around the middling girls (Tamina, Fox, Rosa and previously Natalya) from heel to face without any rhyme or reason.
