Deep Labyrinth DS release date announced for Japan

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.

- After a few months delay, Interactive Braines will release the NDS RPG Deep Labyrinth in Japan on March 23, 2006. The game features scenarios written by Masato Kato, who worked on the Square Enix's Chrono Trigger.

Kato and Mitsuda = :3

I honestly thought this was cancelled. I hope the delay helped take the game in the right direction even though I'll likely get it to at least listen to the music. ^_^

Where's the Mitsuda luv? :(

That opening theme is awesome! Takes me back to CT..... also makes me want a CT2 so badly. :'(

Quite exciting with regards the scenario design... the graphics on the site all seem to be from the mobile version too. I'd be interested to see if it changes much (if at all) in the transition to DS.

I'd like to see Kensuke Tanabe work on more Zelda.

Crap, I might buy it just for the Mitsuda tracks...

If I ever got into movie/game making, he's my composer of choice

Did he have something to do with this game?

Where's all the King's Field fans?

I'm heeeeeeere.

Man, nothing but love for these games.

King's Field was one of my favorite PSX games.

Totally got lost into the massive world that was King's Field 2.
Hidden walls ftw.

Ancient City was pretty damn good too.
However, Eteran Ring was awful.

Shadow Tower was a fun distraction too, but it was too claustraphobic.
It missed the massive overworld of KF2.

I wanted to play Abyss, how was that?

Anyway, TOTALLY getting this DS game if it comes to our shores.

The only way this will likely come over is if Altus makes it so. :(

Then here's hoping.

Of course, I also really really want Atlus to bring over Yggdra Union (a melding of Ogre Battle gameplay with Riviera style? I'm sold!) and I want someone ANYONE to bring over Contact (Earthbound-ish RPG from the creator of Killer 7? I'm doubly sold!).

Like ST, but with some guns and modern equipment and a few sci-fi bits thrown in with the original mix. Areas are larger and more varied in general, but the basics are the same. Great atmosphere, just like the original.

I'm hoping DL comes close to being a replacement for KF. KF PSP seems to have evaporated entirely. :(

KF PSP was announced?

Here's HOPING for a KF Revmote!
Maaaaaaan, what a sweet thought.

It's a shame Abyss was never brought over!

I hope so too, but From Software doesn't seem like they will be making any REV games anytime soon.

Agetec tried. SCEA shot it down. :(

Why, was it a quality control issue?
Hell, they let Agetec publish Eternal Ring and that other launch game, what was it called? That game wasn't too bad.

Anyone have sales figures for KF: Anciet City or Eternal Ring?

I know Shadow Tower for psx didn't do well.
Took me a bunch of stores to find it, and when I bought it, the cashier actually laughed at me.
OH well, I loved it!
