Delay angered by "Law & Order" mention

The controversy centers around Wednesday's episode in which a police officer investigating a murder of a federal judge suggested putting out an all points bulletin for "somebody in a Tom DeLay T-shirt."

:lol :lol Makes me wish I watched L&O :D

The show's executive producer responded by accusing DeLay of trying to change "the spotlight from his own problems to an episode of a TV show."

Saw this earlier. Here's the video clip:

It's a great shot at DeLay, particularly considering how irresponsible he was with his comments with respect to the judiciary after the Terri Schiavo case (the quote he refused to clairfy being, "The time will come for the men responsible for this to answer for their behavior, but not today.") .

What?)? Law and Order always struck as skewing to the definite right on the political spectrum. I love the show, but the honest, hard-working cops and underdog DAs were always fighting those slimy, evil Defense Attorneys and fucking psychopathic criminals. Very interesting...

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit is one of the best shows on TV right now.

I do believe this show is right leaning. They don't give a shit about the rights of the criminal usually and make fun of the lawyers that do. So thats why Wolf's comment means that much more. Its not a liberal show by any means. However many are making it out to be that.

Maybe that's true, but the show is trying to demonize these criminals who are guilty of very heinous crimes.

In Revenge of the Sith, when Mace was about to kill Sidious, were you rooting for him to do it, or for him to go against the jedi code and take Sidious's rights away. It's the same thing in a way.

The makers of L&O seem to want to make it black and white, though I believe that the best episodes are the ones where the case ISN'T black and white, and the DAs are doing wrong or the criminal was doing something noble when he was comitting his crime, but that's debatable.

I dunno, I remember one L&O episode where they later found out the guy they got convicted was framed and there was all these complications with trying to get him off again. As a general rule I do find the show to be rather gung-ho in its attitude towards assumed guilt - there aren't very many episodes where the person they're trying to get is actually innocent, which I think would make for a more interesting dynamic - at the very least they may suspect someone in the beginning and it turns out to be someone else, but the person they end up trying and (sometimes) getting convicted always ends up being guilty.

Well, I think it accurately depicts how the court systems really work. It is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but anyone who has gone through the legal process knows that the opposite is pretty much true. I'm glad its realistic and not another bullshit activist show where every guy is framed and its because of society's injustices. That would piss me off. One show did that. I forgot what one it was but it got annoying as it was the theme every episode.

Still, SVU is an awesome show. I haven't watched the original since Jerry Orbach died. I haven't watched an episode of CI (the show where they made fun of Delay) and not the new one either.

Damn him for bitching about a blurb on a T-Shirt on a TV show, when Clinton had to endure a metric shitload more for a blowjob.

SUCK IT THE FUCK UP DELAY .
