Pro Evo and GTA is all PSP needs. its going to be smooth sailing to the number one spot.
Also, handhelds dont sell that well here, so its a shock to see these numbers
Sorry man, but I haven't kept up with any impressions. Bebpo is the guy you wanna look out for.Date of Lies said:didn't this already come out in japan? any impressions?

More PSP owners = more games = less whining = more fun = more interesting battle between DS and PSP = more trolling = more whining = less fun = typical day at GAF

come , if that was the only criteria, we'd have an entire forum containing Bebpo and Neo2046 discussing RPGs and THAT'S IT."I don't think they were banned so much for being PSP haters as they were for uselessly trolling a topic. "

Ponn01 said:Well, people in Europe can bitch about the delay, but they don't have to wait through the summer drought months like we have. They should be getting most of the holiday titles we get or not to far after. Hell, if I read right I think they even get Virtua Tennis before us.
RETAILERS are expecting the launch of Sony’s PlayStation Portable (PSP) on September 1 to be an instant sellout because demand has already begun to outstrip supply.
More than 150,000 machines will be available in Britain on launch day, more than double the biggest launch in this country so far of a games console, thought to be the Nintendo DS.

DS release list > PSP release list

The Euro PSP lineup is really fantastic, actually! One of the best launch lineups I've ever seen. I think Europe may have received the machine at a good time, actually, as they not only received a great launch (like the US), but won't have to deal with much dead space in the release list (as there are plenty of games on the horizon this fall). Then again, I don't know what's planned for Europe this fall...sooo...
---- said:When we're talking about well established companies, launch sellouts just say to me that the manufacturer didn't supply properly. I think that reflects negatively on the company rather than positively or as bragging rights. That's why I think the PSP North American launch was spectacular. Not only did the PSP launch set records for the region, but there was also plenty of stock available. That is how a successful launch should go. If there are not enough units available for launch then that means the manufacturer messed up during the production phase. My ideal launch is not having to wait in a line all night long outside of some major retailer in the pouring rain or freezing snow just to fight geeks at the crack of dawn for the latest holiday fueled cabbage patch fad.
When I hear Sony talking about not being able to meet demand in Europe it only makes me wonder how much longer it will now take them to catch up to the competition when they're having these types of production missteps.
If MS pulls off a worldwide launch of their console within weeks of each other without any major snafus it will really make the poorly staggered PSP launch look even worse. Sony really needs to get their system out the door in Europe ASAP.

Every X360 thread has been riddled with wanky trolling, the RE thread - FULL of wankers, it's just that it seems that people who rail against sony get it first (not defending the two recent fuck tards - they _had_ to go)
Anyways, there's more trolls on the board than there ever was at the moment - time to light a fire at the GAF cave entrance.

As for PSP being a shitty buy, for now I'd agree. When they release the improved battery pack and some Pro Evo love, I'm in.

Thanks for saving me a few minutes of typing. Sell outs sound impressive, but most failed systems (Jaguar, 3DO, Dreamcast) were among the hardest to find at launch.
I never really cared if a system sells out or not. Unless i'm trying to buy a system and I can't because it's not there. Anyways thread is not closed but your listing and thought train is just so chock full of holes. So are you two saying if Gizmondo doesn't sell out it will be huge because they don't have a supply problem? Are you saying 3DO and Jaguar failed because it couldn't supply it's demand (and what demand, I was in the video game geek crowd back then and knew no one with a 3DO, we all laughed at it. And only one friend had a Jaguar and we laughed at Trevor McFur and Kasumi Ninja but did enjoy Aliens vs. Predator and Tempest). And just off the top of my head the PS2 was a sellout and very hard to find, was that a failure?
NintendosBooger said:I think his response comes in light of the PSP supporters whose stated predictions in this thread -- that the PSP will be number 1 worldwide -- are bolstered by this news, when selling out on the first day/week, as you've pointed out, is neither an indication that a system will do well in the long run or poorly.
sonycowboy said:I say, bring on the PSP hate. If the PSP crumbles because of a vocal outpour then it wasn't worth it's salt to begin with. I'd bet that doesn't happen and would say that both the DS & the PSP will be viable for some time. The DS just has to work harder to earn it, whereas many are willing to give the PSP a free ride because it's an incredible piece of hardware and has traditionally had spectacular third party support. That premise will continue to be tested until we see some true PSP system seller games.
In the US, I believe PSP software (especially 3rd party software) is, in general, is performing better at retail than DS software.Even if PSP manages to become the bestselling single system SKU, the PSP platform will not sell the most games. And if I were a shareholder, I'd care a lot more about games than systems.
