He's right about the consequences of US intervention, but I don't see a specific role of the US in foreign policy coming from him. US absence in geopolitics doesn't mean the game stops for other players.
 
Seems like Bernie is doing a lot better this time than last on foreign policy. Hard to outdo Hillary on this front, but this is definitely not as cringe-y as last time.

And here's the thing Bernie is basically a non interventionalist. It was easy to vote against Iraq because he'd have voted against it no matter what.

And that's fine but that doesn't make him some keen eyed foreign policy expert.

Why no? Why? It's the fucking truth. Americans need to realise these sorts of hawkish antics are just repeated failures, that have destabiled these regions for decades and decades!

Giving a history lesson which everybody knows doesn't help resolve the problems today. The question asked how would you deal with ISIS? He gave a history lesson about Iran and his Iraq vote.
