Hej!

the piano man
Dear friends in Denmark :D

I'd need your help for this one, specially those in Coppenhagen but anyone anywhere in the country can chim in and give a hint.

I am a mexican pianist living in Bremen, Germany, so I am not very far from your country.

I am trying to find places where I can give a piano recital in the area around me and I've always wanted to go to Denmark so I was meaning to ask you,

do you guys know of any small culture house or culture place where there's a piano (not upright but concert-style) where I could send my materials and suggest a recital?

here in Germany we have small places where we can play in exchange of free donations from the audience, so nothing very professional but that's the kind of places I am looking for (as of now I have no chance convincing the big concert houses of giving me a recital).

it's hard to find on google what I am looking for without knowing danish and/or the places.

Have you been to such a place or know of some place that matches my description? basically a place in which small classical music happenings take place, 40-50 seats

thanks for any help!

Webhallens butik i indre by er lukket for nu. Fuck fuck fuck. Mjeh.

I don't know that many places in Copenhagen that works like that, but here's a couple that miiight fit:

Temple Bar.
There's a lot of musicians playing here, but it's quite upbeat, so classical piano won't fit well.
https://www.facebook.com/templebarCPH/

Café Alléenberg.
Another place where a lot of musicians can play. It's quite laidback though and anyone could, if they so desired, use the piano.
http://alleenberg.dk/

Library Bar. Haven't been here. But it's a more classical settings.
https://ligula.se/da/the-library-bar/

Bevar's. Bevar's is a coffee, wine, cozy place where there's also live music quite often.
http://www.bevars.dk/

That's pretty much all the ones I know off. I know some different jazz places as well, but that probably won't fit.

Hey guys,
I'll visit Kolding and Aarhus with a few friends over the weekend, any good stuff we shouldn't miss out on there or on the way?

Coming in from Hamburg, Germany. :)

Depends what you're into? :)

I'm not sure :) not searching for wild party locations I guess, just some nice-to-be or -see things that are en route and not on the top spot of every website anyway. Nice bars for the night, cool or interesting things or places to see for the day.

Considering you're passing right by an UNESCO site on the highway (Christiansfeld - coincidentally, also my hometown!) located just 15 km south of Kolding, I'd suggest you go visit there, if you have any interest in old buildings with a special story. A full tour shouldn't take more than a few hours

Regarding bars, it depends on your taste. In Kolding, there's a small place called Knuds Garage ( https://www.facebook.com/knudsgarage/ ). It's not for everyone, though, so it depends on your mood.

Also, a lot of info here, regarding tourism in Kolding: http://www.visitkolding.de/de/kolding/herzlich-willkommen-kolding

I don't know much about Aarhus, besides AROS, so for that you're on your own ;D
