Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Anyone have trouble redeeming the preorder exotic cold heart? I entered the code on the psn website then it asked me to log in again and took me back to render the code and not it says the code is not valid.

If cloaking is tied to the long melee cooldown then that's not particularly enticing either.
 
Gonna either go Titan or Hunter. I only played as Warlock in D1. Which should I choose? I'm leaning Titan.

Same here! Except I just moved into my new place with my wife and kids. Bills and other expenses took precedent over getting our internet set up. Gotta wait till Friday for our internet. Until then, gonna use my jailbroken iPhone for tethering purposes.
 
Just to let you know, i hate all of you that are alteady playing or about to.

4 more hours at work until i can speed home and chase me some loot.

i wish I could've purchased through PSN but money is tight and I had a Best Buy gift card available. I went on their website to chat with a customer service rep about when aid receive my code (like I do with Amazon anytime I have an issue or question), but there's no "chat with a rep" option on BestBuy's site. You can either call or email them. WTF! I called customer service and it was a thirty minute estimated wait time! Lmao. Hoping I get it tomorrow morning.

I can't think of anything I've been more hyped for in quite a few years (I'm 33, btw)

Holidays (including my birthday) are pretty meaningless to me. But a sequel to one of my favorite games this gen? God damn... I feel like a freaking kid right now! Been going nuts all day waiting for this to open up.

You can also activate cloaking by dodging (in one of the Nightstalker specs only). I don't really recall how long the Dodge cooldown is though, or if you can speed it up through gear and stat upgrades.

Part of why I hate Vanish In Smoke is because sometimes you aren't quite close enough in melee distance, but you try to punch anyway and end up wasting the smoke grenade cooldown. I had the same annoyance with Gunslinger's throwing knife as well.
 
30 minutes to download a 6 GB patch when I have 120 gigs down internet... feels bad man.

Edit: It was really cool to see so many people picking up the game. I live in Davenport, IA. There was even someone in cosplay. Damn I love the Destiny community.

I was having trouble on Mobile as well. Ended up working fine on actual PS4

I wasn't able to download either

Yeah, but IIRC the path that allows you to cloak when dodging is different from the one optimal for producing orbs. So I'd never run it unless solo. I liked having my "oh shit cloak bomb" when I was in a pinch, but now I'm worried about how often it will pop.
 
My preload is saying that I am at Version 1.02. Is that the latest one? I really don't want midnight to hit, only to be told I need to update the client.
 
So I had to rig up my PS4 to be wired to the router to bring the patch from 4 hours down to 2, woohoo. These day 1 patches really add to that launch night experience.

I'm almost tempted to try the Rockstar promotion, but only on account of how bad everyone says it is. I feel like I should try it myself to see what the fuss is about.

I had this issue with them on HZD. They didnt email me the code until like 3AM on launch day, so I didnt get to play it until that afternoon since it spent the entire morning downloading the entire game. I tried to explain to them what "pre-loading" meant but I forgot about outsourced Tech Support...

For digital, I wouldnt trust Best Buy.
