I imagine this gif will represent a lot of people in this thread.

Strider, you needs an avatar.

Playing @ midnight?

Maaaaaaaybe. Depends on how I'm feeling at the time... might just wake up early tomorrow.

You lookin for a fireteam for launch?

Because let's be real I'll probably be on at midnight lol

I thought they changed the hunter melee to a punch but in the stream I'm watching it's a cod style knife again what's up with that?

Watching a stream, seems to be the campaign. Same old it seems, was hyped for this the first time around. So far I feel nothing, I remember how I felt a week after release of the first game. :/

But but I keep hearing amazing things and how different it is from the original.

For future reference what affect, if any, does this have on buying DLC thereafter?

Just a heads up, like others have said, DLC must be from the same region, but in game credits (in Destiny 1 at least) must be from the region you play the game on, and you also can't launch the PSN store ingame to buy credits.

I bought Destiny on the US store, but played in my AU account. If I tried to buy Silver in game, it would (I assume) try to connect to the US store, and show an error - something like "the store is not available". I had to buy the Silver on my AU account (found out the hard way after buying Silver on the US account first) - I guess because the coins aren't DLC, but tied to my PSN account. DLC I bought from the US store and it worked fine.

I bought Destiny 2 on my AU account this time to avoid that.

Probably not your type of game then. Im on the 3rd mission and this is really good. The story is even interesting which I wasnt expecting at all.

Sigh, I've caved, preloading as I type this, I spent a good couple of hundred hours on destiny, despite not entirely liking the weapon changes or the 4v4 crucible the shooting itself is still amazing.

see you tomorrow Guardians

Perhaps you could elaborate on what you didn't like and what parallels there are with D1's release? Would be far more useful to know than just throwing out "same old" into a crowd of people looking forward to it.

Is this how PS works? Because for Xbox DLC doesn't have any restrictions and if you switch regions it will connect you the corresponding store of that region.

I just read PSN so ops lack of sleep is killing me

are you watching destiny 1 or destiny 2 stream ??

Destiny 2. So far nothing extraordinary. And yes, I've played everything D1 and Taken King had to offer. Stopped playing after about 8 days of Taken Kings release.

Same old enemies, gunplay seems superb as always but for me personally the game got stale pretty fast. Will watch reviews though. :)

Fuck, I live in one of the most corrupt countries in Asia, but fuck if no store would sell me Destiny 2 today. Have to wait until tomorrow.

Not sure how you managed to play all of D1 in a week, or how one week becomes two weeks..

When I played Destiny (vanilla for a week and Taken King for two weeks) I played 95% PVE. PVP was pointless.

Regardless though, if you could – would be useful to know:

I will be on. Don't want to rush through the story though.

Also won't be able to use mic though, but if you're on... lets :D

Don't spoil your experience just because you can't resist looking in here!

It's so close! You can do it!

I am making this post with my eyes closed

STAY STRONG GUARDIANS

than we are not looking at the same game..it seems that destiny is not for you....and we already knew its the same enemies since the first reveal, but to each their own.

This story and world is giving me similar feels to Halo in its heydey. I know its too early to tell only being 2 hours in but if it continues like this, we have a classic here.

Have a niche question for anyone who's playing on a copy which is not from their region.

My PS4 account is USA. Destiny 1 copy was NA. Destiny 2 copy is going to be EU.
Can I still buy in game items like emotes through my USA account?

For DLC that's downloaded to the system like expansions, that's not a problem, but I'm not sure about microtransactions or entitlements whatever they're called. Emotes won't carry over across PS4 accounts for sure.

But I hope if I try to buy something from in-game store through my EU copy, using my NA account, it doesn't give me a 'No items available for purchase' error like it does for normal DLC since the game's code doesn't match the code of the DLC in the PSN store.

EDIT: If anyone saw Gothalion purchase something on his NZ copy, then my question's answered.

lol that's hilarious.

Sigh, I wish Best Buy was doing a midnight launch here in the States. No way I'm stepping foot in a GameStop.
