So i'm planning on maining the PC version but caved and grabbed a PS4 copy. Going to limit myself to one character/class, no raids and limited exploration... lots of PvP.
Question is:
Where should i play... upstairs on a 24" BenQ gaming monitor with ultra fast response times (prob not a big deal with 30fps) and some decent stereo cans on a DAC...
Or downstairs in the HT on a 140" screen (projector - low input lag fast response time but not monitor fast - 60fps too but no matter) with big floor-standing speakers and giant sub.
Does D2 still lend itself nicely to up-close play on a gaming monitor for quick reflex play or should i have the "experience" with the big screen and thumping surround?
Question is:

Finally finished the campaign. Well that last encounter was underwhelming....

I remember I have seen in one of these many D2 threads a post about how a weapon quest required the user to
dismantle 4 rare or higher guns (scout rifles I think?) in order to proceed to the next quest step for the actual quest weapon. So yes, these kinds of quests appear to be in the game

i have a 24" BenQ (RL2455HM). I hate using it for playing PS4. i don't know what it is exactly...but the framerate just becomes unbearable. maybe it's because my 42" HDTV has insane amounts of motion blur that i can't turn off. but apart from that i'd not be playing D2 on it because of the low FOV. sitting close to my monitor and with a low FOV would make me sick.
go with the 140" screen then switch to the BenQ for the PC version. i'm going to move to PC next month but until then i'm on my 42" tv.
is that the CPU mission? if so about half way i think. i haven't finished yet so maybe i've not even played it yet lol

If you're on Titan, you're halfway through. If you're not, you're in the final stretch. I'd say about 1-1.5 hours left. Enjoy!

Still on the fence, and the weekend is coming up. I have some questions maybe it won't get buried.
1. So while your character can transfer to D2, could I transfer say my D1 Titan and play as a Warlock in D2 with the same appearance, just different classes? Or will it be just D1 Titan to D2 Titan?
2. Please tell me at least strikes still have matchmaking. I can make peace that I probably won't be doing nightfalls until two more people I know play and don't mind having me along.
3. Are people using voice chat more, like is it more mandatory? Had some... interesting experiences playing with gamers a bit too young for my tastes (I get memes are all the rage, but holy shit)

D1 titan to D2 titan. you can't merge the appearance with a new class.

not sure. haven't really done any co-op yet. still working on the campaign.

I don't know. I quite like how Bungie have handled their vehicles in both Halo and Destiny. Just a personal preference I guess.

Ah i didnt even think about that! D1 always did drive me nuts with the narrow FOV. Theater it is! Thanks for the tip!
For PC i have a nice new dual Dell S2417DG 24" 1440p G Sync 165hz monitor set up that i'll be playing on so i should be rocking an relatively steady 1400p, 144hz (single monitor) at max with my rig. D2 appears to be super optimized!
Relocating PS4 to basement right now lol
Edit: Looks like the wife and i are using the same BenQ RL2455HMs in our console game room! Great monitor - ive actually never had any framerate issues on either of them. At least that ive noticed lol

I just wish they had some alternate control schemes for vehicles because it's literally backwards when you're riding a Sparrow. L2 to accelerate, right stick to turn lol

Anyone else here having trouble getting the gunsmith to fork over the Coldheart pre-order bonus rifle? I've beaten the entire campaign and I'm level 20; motherfucker won't give it to me. What gives? 
I LITERALLY just read about that in Blood, Sweat & Pixels. I had no idea that Destiny 2 did that as well. Seems like a good idea, but I think I did everything I could do right now in EDZ other than public events. Do more adventures pop up or do I have to finish the campaign first?

Rule of thumb:
Finish the story. You level pretty consistently to 200 power just that way. Then:
If the rewards are blue engrams, do it right away.
If the rewards are tokens, do it right away.
If the rewards are legendary or "powerful gear", wait until you hit 260 power.

Slightly longer:
Public events and world events (like Scavengers and High Value Targets) are great ways to get XP and blue engrams as rewards.
Lost Sectors can be done once per week (not sure on frequency) and are great way to get blue engrams after you beat the story.
Zone Chests can only be done once ever, but the rewards are tokens. Do whenever.
Adventures scale to your power, good post story content.
World Quests typically give legendary or exotic rewards, wait til 260.
Challenges can give legendary rewards, wait til 260.
Milestones give legendary rewards, wait til 260.
Cayde-6's treasure maps give legendary or exotic rewards, wait til 260.

Can someone explain infusion to someone who didn't play Destiny 1 when it added it? I know I could probably just test it but I don't want to waste a legendary/exotic for it.
Specific questions:
-can it only be done once per item?
-does it affect the defense/damage of an item or only the power level?
-can you infuse an item with different rarity item? Whats the downside to this?
-does it do anything else?

I decrypted it from Tess after hitting level 20, it was a gun called break at dawn or something but it's not in my inventory. Piss take.

The EDZ is huge. Just wrapping up the first few story missions there and there seems to be some much I haven't even had a chance to check out yet. Are all the zones this big?

Made a second Warlock last night. I hit 275 PL and figured it's best for me the go ahead make a new character rather than slam my head against my wall in attempt to get exotic drops.

Finish the main campaign, clear all the blue quests in EDZ and you'll get the Mida Mini Tool and starts you on the quest for the exotic scout rifle, you'll need 5 rare or higher, so save those if you find them.

I didn't mind it so much in Destiny 2, especially the second one near the end.
Though I kept thinking, "If this was a Halo game this would be about 15fps right now."
