Destiny 2 w/ white PS4 Pro bundle announced

I think I'm gonna get this as a backup system for when/if my launch PS4 breaks and sell D2.

Dammit I was convinced after a no show at e3 that maybe they weren't doing one of these so I went ahead and bought a pro...and now they announce it. Really don't know if selling it and spending more out of pocket is really worth it for a color swap.

XBX could have cost $599 and they would still sell out their stocks this holiday so there's no real reason for Sony to bleed their profits this year*.

*in the US.

It would also be unwise to announce a new bundle that will coincide with a price drop months in advance. There's no guarantee that there will be one, but still is better to just put it out at the current price and see how the market reacts

While I agree with you, I'm still butthurt for the X price tag. So now I want Sony to finish them with a small price drop. (Also easier on my pocket book)

You could find Xbox One Day One editions for a long time here (Europe), so I'm not convinced that an Xbox One X for the same price with no compelling reasons to get one coming out of E3 will sell out here.

I appreciate your candor on this. I do anticipate the price wars will heat up come October and November though. X1x will remain price stagnant and the pro should see a $50 or more drop

would be nice for bungie to definitively say that the xbox one x version is 30fps... makes me hold off on trading in my ps4 COD3 bundle for this upgrade.... of course I am upgrading to the xbox one x as well and would get Destiny 2 on the XB1X if it was 60fps instead..

Plus I already have Pro, so I would like Sony to pressure Microsoft into price drop... Because that $499 price tag is especially ridiculous for Pro owners who have 4K TV. It's a purchase I could justify, but WTF, Microsoft?

They are going to be 30FPS across the board....there won't be that huge a gap, especially with the same CPU.

man this looks so good. The color just makes all the subtle details pop. Like someone above said though. Will wait to see what Sony does with the inevitable Spiderman bundle :)

This is a beginning of September bundle. It has nothing to do with any holiday pricing strategies.

If you want Destiny 2 at >30fps then play on PC. All console versions are 30 fps.

Yes, but it has to do with September pricing strategies :). I'm just saying what I'm hoping for. Sure things might change, but as of now it does not look like Sony is throwing a free game with Pro purchase anytime soon. In comparison it's almost impossible to find regular PS4 without free game :)

They just did last month with Pro+Horizon for a week.

Technically, you are getting the expansion pass and deluxe edition stuff alongside the game which is $99 so it equates to a "free" game.

I thought it was obvious what I meant... :) Like do a box with a huge picture of a game and sell it for a price of a console, etc. Not a temporary promotion.

Don't get me wrong, I get why this is $449. But it also means that Sony is not in a rush to devalue their Pro console. I'm Ok with it, I'm more concerned about Xbox X pricing. :)
