It can't be understated how valuable great IQ is to this new generation of consoles. Native framebuffer grabs of most last-gen games were pretty unsightly, blurry messes with jaggies everywhere. The screenshots I see here are nice and clear, high-res without much jaggification to speak of. Beautiful stuff.

Being able to get great looking native screenshots is something I really appreciate in the new gen. Before it was PC or bust.

This. People saying otherwise have their standards way too high. It makes me wonder how the can enjoy anything at all.

This also isn't the only locale we'll be visiting in the game as our destiny (ha, sorry), will take us all over the solar system. This is just one area that is a small part of a larger game that has much more diversity in terrain - or at least, that's what has been promised.
 
As I said in the code begging thread I'm looking for some people to play this game with, and others.

As far as I know the races are purely cosmetic. I think they've stated that they didn't want any bonuses for the different races because they want people to be able to choose what they think looks best aesthetically without worrying about what might be best in terms of gameplay.

You were probably doing exploration mode. In general, that one is going to offer "Kill X" or "Get X." The strike missions and story missions are more in-depth.

One more question for anyone who knows (hopefully this isn't a stupid question)..

Is the armor always the same color? I got one piece that was a sky blue color but my color always stays brown/dark green.

Details, are you playing PVP, PVE, what?

Because I haven't noticed few - if any drops in player vs. environment content. I've played 10+ hours and I'm particularly sensitive to these things.
 
Didn't know my comment was going to be so inflammatory. Sorry. I was just hoping we would get some sort of transfer or bonus because those are cool.

Is there a thread for GAF players getting together to play?
 
I am now in the process of downloading this. Bless Bungie and the fact I remembered my password for my old PSN email. 40 minutes till I'm one of you guys.
 
Just got my code, entered it, then slowly watched as estimated time went from an hour to download to 82 hours. "Oh, this isn't good"

Annnnnd down goes PSN.
 
I've seen a significant amount of warlock and hunter gameplay, but I haven't been able to find any videos or steams of the Titan. Anyone playing that type, and have any thoughts on the class, or is really the only difference in what special they each get.
