When/where is the console selection for your beta code taking place? I saw when the beta DL codes will be sent but if you've already redeemed a code, but when do you select which console you want the code for? B.net just says sometime in 2014.

The plan for today is for anyone who is holding a Beta code to select their console (PS4, PS3, Xbox ONE, or Xbox 360). At that point, we'll assign a code to your account in our database. That code will make its way to you on the day when your wave is scheduled to begin. You will find it in your email inbox, or on your Profile page on Bungie.net under Redeemed Codes.

This is a Beta, so we'll learn as we go. I'll make the rounds to provide updates as they become available.

Love this thread. Can't wait to see all this eager energy channeled into the wild.

Yeah Dax, I assumed that was what they were going for, I just kept getting triped up on the second or two it would take for an opposing team members nameplate to load in. I'd see a guy walk into my field of view and then my brain would go ( good guy? Or bad guy? ) then his red nameplate loaded and he already shot me. I kinda get that if a player doesn't automatically have a name plate visible he is in fact an enemy, but I just need to see that red color before my brain will let me shoot! I need to train myself on this.

Ya i think you will find many people giving the genders and races a spin, especially while they try things out in the Beta. I had a female hunter and warlock and started a male titan towards the end of the alpha - all different races too. Female Hunter just happens to be the most...*ahem* shapely combination.

I have a question that probably nobody but Deej can answere, but ill give it a try.

My Bungie account has 2 redeemed Beta codes. My plan for those are to give them to my brothers when they become available (I have pre-ordered on PSN for myself). But now im beginning to wonder if because i didnt make them get their own Bungie accounts and had them redeem the codes. That maybe they are now bound to my Bungie account? So whatever code i get the 17th will not work on a console unless my account that is linked to my Bungie account is signed in?

I guess we wont know until the 17th, but i just wanted to throw it out here and see if anyone knew.

lol it was actually the cloak that first caught my attention and got me to switch over from Warlock in the alpha. The awesome jump, versatile Golden Gun and knife were deal sweeteners (and this was the cherry on top. or bottom, depending how you see it).

Warlock has vastly better helmets though. But that's, like, IT!

I'm sure they'll be a Halo-like armor that's only unlockable in some high-level strike and come in some weird color combination and two weeks after the game comes out there will be a million screenshots of people painting it dark green

Yea the other subclasses will be interesting to see in action. Radiance especially will have its perks in Raids.

Still, people underestimate the Golden Gun. It's not fantastic against crowds, but IME the big guys get wrecked, especially if you melee with it. Some upgrades should make it better.

I kinda wish the blade dancer subclass kept the Solar element though. Another reason i like 'em is because of those vibrant orange flares.

I actually feel Warlock is more versatile both types of gameplay activities but hunter has a way higher risk reward system with the golden gun. With the reward being really really good good, for yourself and your team.

yes it's in the tower and yes you can exchange equipment between characters.

Yes it was in the Alpha and yes that is what it does.

I love me some Titan. I don't know why, but punching the ground is very exciting. Especially when you start thirty feet in the air. Kaboom! I wish they'd shout "Cannonball!" when they jumped.

The nova bomb is still the godly super of supers, but Golden Gun isn't "just 3 shots" is what i was getting at. But yes, the ability to quickly dispatch a target at range will be critical to any team's success. Really, when it comes down to it, you need one of each class in your team.

Great vid. Loved seeing that Fusion Rifle get put to work, and nice job near the start locking those 2 enemies out of that capture point with the vortex grenade. Odd music choices for sure, but I will never not appreciate The Real Folk Blues.

As for me, I'm still going to main one and I voted for it in the poll, though.

I would imagine the poll will eventually even out. These classes have no doubt gone through much design to be as equally appealing as possible.

funny thing about the Fusion Rifle is I was getting tons of flak for using it from my friends:

"Why?! It's a charge weapon, it sucks!"

Then they saw someone get obliterated with it.
